Feb 2: Domestic: PER - BME (Per QP) unsure of time now.. I booked it 3 days ago, and since then - the time has now changed!

Feb 4: BME - PER (BME "qp" 12:30pm -> 01:20pm).

Will update on PER QP time once I have contacted Qantas... weird..!

Edit: Grr... they've cancelled the morning flight, and my afternoon flight will now be in the morning (So I'm essentially losing a day's work down in Perth - not happy!)

Anyway, here's the flight details:
Fri 02 Feb 07 10:05 Perth 12:35 Broome
img_tail_red.gif
QF1074 2
So I'll be in the QP from 09:30 -> 10:00am.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Feb 2. MEL Dom at 0730 for QF 416 to SYD
Feb 2. SYD Int F at 1045 for QF 127 to HKG
Hi Bill, I am arriving from AKL on LAN on the same day and my friend arrives on Air NZ a few hours later.

I think we miss each other by an hour or so but if times work out and you are interested in catching up I would be happy to wait around for my friend to arrive, to share a taxi, and buy you a drink in one of the cafes before you visit QP.

Let me know.

JohnK,

Looking at the schedules, I'd say we miss by an hour or two. (unless we pass on the run in Syd) We leave Mel Dom at 0830 and Syd Int at 1155.

Using Radioman's lead from over on FT, I have created a Calendar that everybody can use to advise the times and dates they will be in QC's. Click on this link and you'll notice it's headed AFF members Qantas Club meetings.

Everybody adds/changes and deletes their own - no moderation from me unless I'm advised that people are deleting the wrong listings (i.e. not their own).

To add one to the Calandar, click on the relevant month and then date. In the Calendar text, add in your details using the following format:

{City code, Terminal number or either Dom or Intl, J or F} QC, member name}
Times (in and out) are the start and end times (local time please).

i.e.

BNE D, 4pm - 5pm, QF WP or SYD T3, 6am - 6.30am, QF WP

or

SIN I F, etc...

I don't have the time now to put all the existing times up (but I may try over the weekend). Feel free to add your own.

To make it easy to find members, I suggest that members who are looking to meet up congregate at the FT meeting places (as most will happen in Australia, I suspect).

FT Corners - SYD T3, BNE, MEL
FT Corners - ADL, CBR, SYD T2, PER

Do you seriously expect anyone to meet with you at 04:30 in AKL :?:
You never know! There are some strange people posting on AFF. ;)

Who are you calling strange :?:   :D

I think he means me :D (I have been known to be on that flight, or on a trans-tasman flight not too much later, but unlikely next Friday).

.

If 04:30 is too late/early for you then how about 01:55 to 05:50 at Perth? (International to Domestic transfer).

I assume the QC will be open then, or am I dreaming?

Cheers,

Andrew

P.S. I don't actually want to meet anyone ...... coz I'll be grumpy!

Per JohnK's experience, Qantas Club will not be open some of that period.

I can't really comment as I/we have a BA flight at 0110 from HKG - LHR on Feb 6th (subject to strike)

Yuck! And I thought the 11pm ones were bad!

I've always thought it amazing that BA has three 747's all leaving HKG in a 90 minute period. Add to that Cathay with their late night shuttle as well, and that's a lot of pax.

At least the Wing/Pier should be open at the hour (last CX flight to LHR leaves around 1am) - so that would make up for things a little.

PS - good luck with the strikes. I suspect one of the warring parties will back down before the 2nd batch of strikes, but you should still keep an eye on things.
