Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

George Gregan on a VA flight OOL- SYD yesterday. He was in seat 1D and read a book most of the way

Presumably you mean Jesinta Campbell, who was the Miss Universe 2010 contestant from Australia (she ended up 2nd runner up). There hasn't been a Miss Australia quest since 2000.

I'd have changed seats to make sure she was beside me ;)

And you keep up with the Miss Universe & Miss Australia quest dates & place getters? Who would have guessed .....

Through a rather random series of events, I ended up having dinner with Tony Fernandes (Air Asia boss) tonight. It's a shame I had no advance notice - I'm sure this forum could have provided me with many questions to ask him!

And when I say 'no notice' I mean I was in hotel lobby when he approached me (friend of a friend, sort of) and invited me, so I went to dinner with no money or jacket, just my netbook and hotel key!

It's a bit of an odd experience, dining with a man who has stories that start 'I was doing a deal for 200 airbuses and...' :D

Argentinian goal keeper Sergio Romero on a flight from Buenos Aires to Madrid. He was with his wife, daughter and a "helper", not as tall as I thought. He was in business, I was in economy..

Finally a lounge sighting :) Nico Rosberg (mercedes F1 driver and current teammate to Mr Schumacher - and beating him) and current world drivers champion Sebastian Vettel, both in the AA lounge at GRU returning to Europe post-f1. Both polite and friendly when approached by fans for pictures. Both also looking pretty good considering the end-of-season party last night was apparently a big one. I wouldn't know- although I had tickets I fell asleep... Rock'n'roll I ain't!!

Katie Price - out of Buenos Aires in Apr this year. Directly in the queue in front of me on boarding. Quite noticeable in the lounge of course (especially when speaking loudly on the phone in her strong chav accent), but surprisingly people either didn't seem to notice or didn't care. I know celebrities always say they love being able to be just like a "normal" person, but I did wonder whether she was slightly bothered that no one seemed to notice her.

Well famous on AFF (and over at FT) at least: Mrs SFSC and I ran into JohnSydney2000 at a certain Club InterContinental Lounge last night.

Thanks, John, for your company and the positive outcome that your suggestion had on our stay.

David marr front of Y...not a fan of media watch but he is being very considerate.
What's with the PIANO in QP?
And gee- people criticize QF but compared to domestic US transport what luxury

I always enjoy not noticing a famous person when they think they should be.

Jordan Coulter on Qantas of course, on way back to Mel for a shoot.

Attracted a lot of attention ;)

Peter Beattie.....tho not sure if that was lounging, or that mutual DYKWIA moment in Parliament House.

On reflection, pretty sure on his part it was a case of IHNIWYA ( I Have No Idea Who You Are)... WAYSAM (Why Are You Smiling At Me ? :) )

It was definitely Peter Beattie tho
