F Lounge Access

@NickCorr are you travelling on your flights under the QF or EK number. I was looking on my account and came across this "General – can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge, Qantas International Lounge or Qantas operated International Business Lounge (excluding Los Angeles Tom Bradley Terminal) when departing on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number." I also saw this in relation to lounge passes, had to screen grab it as it disappears after the page has loaded. View attachment 264191
I normally give all my lounge passes away as MrsM and I have access based on status.
We are on QF flight numbers.

Follow-up question:

Does anyone happen to know whether oneworld J pax will be admitted to the QF F lounge in SYD or MEL? Understand it might be no based on capacity, but I can't find anything online other than the logical conclusion of CX says you can use the QF J lounge --> QF J lounge is the QF F lounge.

Flying ADL-(QF)-MEL-(CX)-HKG in J with a layover from 2100-0100+1 in MEL. Wondering if that means that the QF F lounge may be on offer?

I think it depends on when you will be flying. At the moment the QF F lounge says it is open three hours before the departure of QF35 (1150am) and three hours before the departure of QF9 (635pm). Outside those hours the lounge is closed. .

Think the lounge will be closed at that time

Has anyone had success accessing TBIT QF F lounge using a boarding pass from domestic flight connecting to QF Int. the same day or should I go straight to the "J" lounge. Currently SG but WP upon arrival after Alaska Airlines flight. AS have been unreliable for quick update of status to the extent of claiming missing credits through QF taking several weeks. Appreciate any ideas.

Isn’t the QF F lounge still closed at LAX?
I didn’t think it was reopening until August

If the lounge is open, a domestic F boarding pass won’t get your access. Your platinum status will, if it ticks over in time from the AS flight. Without the platinum status it will be the business class lounge.

The QF F Lounge is closed. Your best bet is to use the Flagship Lounge in T4 which you can access on arrival as OWS and also prior to your departure on QF.
It’s by far the best lounge open just now.
There is an easy connector walkway airside from T4 to TBIT.

Thank you all for the advice. T4 Flagship is an option I had not considered @Princess Fiona. I was hoping a lovely lounge angle may consider a BP as proof of earned status, so let’s hope status ticks over @MEL_Traveller. Returning to Oz September so we’ll see what’s open by then.

AA usually want to see your FF card for flagship lounge entry.

You only need SG to enter.

Not in the past couple of weeks. BP has been fine for me, LAX, JFK, ORD and DFW.
Yes, I did not need to show my membership card at any AA (or AS) lounge during my most recent USA sojourn earlier this year.

In the context of the question asked by @Oscarq , their BP will likely show Qantas Gold or oneworld Sapphire, even though the AS flight may earn enough additional SC for them to Qualify Emerald. In which case, if the Qantas First Lounge had been open, access would likely have been denied.

Other than that, non USA based oneworld Sapphire is certainly adequate for access to Flagship lounges before a oneworld flight.

That is the most likely outcome @serfty. I’m sadly preparing ourselves. Our USA travel earlier this year saw AS not credit SC requiring a claim to QF, unlike AA who generally post during flight. I am hoping (not expecting) a glimmer of lounge angle good will at TBIT F.

To be honest, since 2017 I have preferred the Flagship to the Qantas First at LAX as a place to await my flight. (Use the white Showers at QF First and then the Qantas First cafeteria before heading over to T4).

I’d be inclined to agree with you here.
In fact I actively avoided the Flounge unless I was on an AA Domestic during the day.
It was always a zoo in the evening before the Australian departures so I don’t think @Oscarq is missing out on much even if they don’t get in.

Success with entry to LAX Flounge with only 1360SC’s & QF J boarding pass as Gold. Lounge angle was suggesting the business lounge but relented accepting our incoming Alaska J flight earning us both Platinum.
Lounge was not busy on a Sunday night.
