I am booked on QF SYD-SIN award in business.
I'd love to be able to visit the F lounge to mark my first international flight in two years.

I've been on the lookout for EK F awards, all EK availability has dried up.
Do QF sell access to F lounge?
If not what would be the best way to gain access?

At the moment, Qantas Club will get you there. But depends when your flight is, as I don't expect this will be enduring - at some point the business lounge will reopen.

They were doing paid access before covid where capacity allowed - $150 for FLounge. At that price, and the high chance they'd refuse due capacity, I'd go for Qantas Club.

Ah, I didn't know that we could purchase access to QF lounges? I always thought it was via the Club thingy or status or class of travel or via the complimentary passes thru CC or gifts.

Yeah, I am hoping that the J lounge opens before I leave.
Then I could buy access to F lounge, if they sell it.

Otherwise, hoping for a EK F seat to open up or a generous P / P1 to guest me in.

But as long as the J lounge is closed isn’t everybody being sent to the F lounge?

I'd be very surprised if the Int J lounges were open by the end of this year so I'd say your chances are probably high that you'll be admitted to the F lounge on the basis that it will likely be the only lounge operating.

I'm just hoping that any QF Int lounge in Mel will be open late as we have family trip to UK in March and know that with guest pass we can get 3 adults and 2 kids into QF lounge on my Gold, but Emirates will only let me in, before we fly on EK 409/QF8409 at 22:30.

Flight before the end of the year, you will be admitted to the F lounge for sure. However no champagne for you to recreate any moments as I believe bubbly is being reserved for CL and P1 members only (akin to the policy in international J lounges such as SIN and HKG). Andof course the service is paired down from the usual F levels due to the numbers of pax.

It will be a "mini F lounge:"experience.

but either way.. Enjoy the visit and your trip to Singapore!

@NickCorr are you travelling on your flights under the QF or EK number. I was looking on my account and came across this "General – can be used at any Qantas Club domestic lounge, Qantas International Lounge or Qantas operated International Business Lounge (excluding Los Angeles Tom Bradley Terminal) when departing on a Qantas or Jetstar flight number." I also saw this in relation to lounge passes, had to screen grab it as it disappears after the page has loaded. Screen Shot 2021-11-03 at 3.54.37 pm.png
I normally give all my lounge passes away as MrsM and I have access based on status.

Executive traveller just says it's on request.

You'd think at least WP would get it too since that is their normal service in the FLounge. It is operating at a level higher than a J lounge, even if not full F.

It's probably like the cheese platter in the DOM J lounges - don't advertise it, and only a small number of people will ask for it.

Maybe more like the old international lounge operating model, not sure if WP had access champagne at those lounges.
