Additional card holder is free
You can apply now but the website will not be updated before Nov 1

They also said there were no restrictions to points although the brochure does mention some gift card purchases and smokes dont count toward points, the staff on the phone seemed to think there were not even these restrictions.

Yeah, and try getting another one. You go to the store and they say "you need to go online". You go online and send an email, and they say "just pick up another in store".

Personally I have found the replacement easy and simple.

You go on-line. Just follow the prompts for a replacement card (ie you do not email. You just apply for a replacement card)...and they then just mail you out a new cad.

The new cards are better also as they come with two extra mini cards.

To get the mini cards for my other family accounts I promptly "lost" them and went online for replacements for them too.

Each time was easy, and in about a week the new cards arrived.

Extra info on the card

On the back of the card there will be a barcode which will be your Everyday Rewards card. So instead of needing your EDR card, you'll just get the operator to scan the back of your EDQF CC and then proceed as normal.

Brilliant - one less card to carry, Had suggested this with the original everydaymoney card.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

They also said there were no restrictions to points although the brochure does mention some gift card purchases and smokes dont count toward points, the staff on the phone seemed to think there were not even these restrictions.

While they are restricted from EDR earning, it would be difficult to tell from a credit card transaction what you had actually bought, which would account for their doubts about the restrictions.

Very easy I found.

The web site has the detail - the answer was simple. (Got to FAQ, selected Cancelled cards, then lost/stolen)
If your registered card has been lost or stolen, pick up a new card from a participating Woolworths/Safeway Supermarket, BWS store, BIG W store and Dick Smith or Tandy store and then log on to everydayrewards.com.au and select replace card. Any fuel e-vouchers loaded onto the card may be replaced at Woolworths’ discretion.

If a non-registered card is lost, any fuel e-vouchers already loaded on that card cannot be replaced.

The problem is they managed to lock our account, and we couldn't get the password reset or anything, and trying to contact them to fix it has been impossible.

Agree..which is why in futue it is best to avoid the human element and when online SELECT the option in bold.

Everyday Rewards card* I have a new card Please send me a replacement card

This way you do not have to pick up a new card. You are just sent one.

news.com.au has picked up on the imminent launch of this card...

RETAIL giant Woolworths has parterned with Qantas to launch a joint credit card backed by HSBC that will allow shoppers to collect frequent flyer points.

The credit card also serves as an Everyday Rewards loyalty card, offering one Qantas Frequent Flyer point for $1 spent anywhere MasterCard is accepted and additional points for shopping at Woolworths.

"Since the launch of the Woolworths Everyday Rewards' program, millions of our customers have come to value Qantas Frequent Flyer points and this credit card offers them a simple way to receive even more value from everyday purchases," Woolworths Everyday Rewards general manager Peter Burgan said.

Now if only they would update the website!!

I would anticipate some reasonable offers for this card being mailed to Qantas FFers ...

Sounds pretty good to me.

I think the CBA combo is headed to the bin.

Makes me look forward to visiting the bank on Monday!

I think the CBA combo is headed to the bin.

I'll be applying for this card as soon as it becomes available.

However, what I am most looking forward to is the fightback I am predicting we will see from Amex/Westpac/NAB/ANZ etc over the next few months. I suspect Woolworths is going to be marketing this card heavily. The current players are going to lose a truckload of businesses unless they pull out something big. Will we finally see the return of the 20000 bonus points and no annual fee for the first year offers? I hope so!

If you read the fine print you will see "Eligible purchases exclude business expenses, interest free promotions, balance transfers and cash advances".
Well before you chop up your other cards from the 4 pillars of our society you may want to know the definition of business expenses.
Paying a bill and perhaps getting dust is not for some of us who are driven relentlessly in the pursuit of the QF frequent flyer point from all types of bills.
This card may just prove to be a generous card for retail shoppers only.
It says to allow up to 8 weeks after the qualifying purchase for the points to appear on your credit card statement,at which time your credit card account must be current and not in arrears.

Well hopefully restoring a mastercard/visa card with a 1 point per $1 spend (with a reasonable annual fee) will put pressure on the others to go back down this path. I'll be applying as soon as I return to Australia.

I have a Westpac MC/AMEX and ANZ Visa/AMEX so now I have too decide which one goes. Annual fee is basically the same for all three, Woolworths however has the 16k point bonus and 1 to 1 earn rate so it is the new number one card.

I think after 7 years the ANZ FF card is headed for the bin. I was very disappointed with the changes 10 months ago and I haven't gotten a fee waiver ever. I'd be guessing I've put about $150k+ (mayb 200K) through this card in 7 years but that's probably not enough to be offered anything to stay.

That will mean no Visa card for the first time in 19 years (ie my first credit card).

BTW I went to a market research gig last week and it concentrated on what Visa could do to stop the use of AMEX 'companion' cards that now come from most of the major banks with visa/mc. The facilitator was very clear they couldn't match 1 pt per $1 but were looking for other things. The marketing slogans having a go at the limited use of AMEX were interesting, I stated it actually makes Visa look paraniod advertising against the competition but hey I was in the minority in the group:confused:.

Picked up the brochure for this card today at Big W. Looks pretty good to me.

We don't tend to spend much at Woolworths/Big W/etc, as we have a Coles much closer where we do our groceries, so being able to get 1pt per $ there will add up to a bit (we currently have no other points earning cards).

Just when I finally thought I had optimised my QFF point harvesting (Amex plat charge + Citibusiness Gold visa) this comes out!

We shop at Woolworths a lot so this is an interesting offer.

This looks good to me too. The ANZ Qantas Platinum is not overly rewarding. The prospect of pulling out a Woolworth's branded credit card to pay for business lunches should provide a little entertaining sport too!!

I currently have Earth Platinum Amex/MC as a supplementary cardholder. I will probably get one of these to use instead of the MC and channel the FF points to my own account instead of Shrek's!
