EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Bit quiet on the EDR front. No offers for a whole week... Just as I was typing that I received an bonus point offer from BWS. 500 points for $100 spend. Sister 350 points for $70 or 500 points for $100 spend at BWS. Father 300 points for $100 spend on Beer at BWS.

I've cut my WOW shopping back to (almost) nothing and it hasn't changed much - the last email I got from EDR was August 21st, apart from the Recipe to Riches, and a couple of adverts for Woolies Online.

The adverts from WOW online are frequent :(

Seems your idea is the only option. Will scout the local Coles

Little for me specifically, but they are trying to get (not so) mini serfty onto the BWS bandwagon - 3000 pts worth of offers in the last eight weeks.

(Lucky I carry several useful bar-codes in my wallet ;))

Hi...I thought that purchasing Myer Gift Cards at Big W earned bonus points, in fact I have received said bonus points on an offer of spend $20 get 250 bonus points the same weekend , husband had similar offer but spend $50 for 300 points, so activated and same day we went along spent over $50 and included Myer voucher..points not received so queried via email and received response below.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us in regard to Qantas Points. Unfortunately your Big W purchase was for a gift card. Alcohol, cigarettes and gift card purchases do not count towards the required spend for email promotions. (Unless otherwise stated) This is why you have not received the bonus Qantas Points. If you have any further enquiries our contact centre is open from Monday to Friday from 7.00am-10.00pm and on Saturday and Sunday from 9.00am-5.00pm. The contact centre number is 1300 101 234. I hope this has addressed your enquiry

I understand that Wish Cards do not attract bonus points but thought Myer, David Jones etc did...any thoughts - I have spent the past two days on and off the phone with their call centre and IT department on other missing points, not sure its worth the effort but could have a go again via email.:-|

Thats bad news, looks like they have gone back to their old stance! At least they still count for the instant fuel voucher promo spend.

Still not received mine. Did you spend $160 on 'product'?
I topped mine up with a Myer Gift Card which others had said should get me over the line (and the the exclusion on gift cards in the T&Cs referred to Wish Cards) but I now wonder if the Myer Gift Card was excluded.

Only Woolies Group ones, everything else is considered a product, in fact earlier in the year the bonus was only applicable if you bought a gift card, in that case it was a $100 Myer product.

Bugger. I'd asked about DJ cards on another thread here about a week ago and was told that gift cards didn't count. Good to know that they are.

Great I have that too but had not activated yet ...will spread my $500 cards over 3 EDR cards and see if I can get the 750 points plus some 15c vouchers
Thank you

In reply to all these posts, I have confirmation from WW EDR that no gift cards (Wish, Myer, David Jones) etc count as spend for these bonus points offers where it says "gift cards excluded". The only "vouchers" which do count as spend are things like mobile phone recharges.

Bugger bugger Bugger! At least they still count for the weekends where they offer higher fuel vouchers for a spend as a general promo!

A less generous $120 for 500, $160 for 750 offer for me. Not spending much there these days.

$100 at BWS for 500 points.
Given I also have an Epiqure 6x points offer I might skip this one.

Two offers received yesterday:

BWS - 350 pts for $70; 500 pts for $100

In the absence of 30% off six bottles of wine, Unlikely to use this unless they have some decent specials.

WW - $5 discount for $25 in Beauty aisle.

Just got spend $200 earn 1000 points, if I got one of those every week it would be great. I joined the kids up too so I can get more offers as they seem to come randomly. I hope 3 cards on one email address works.
I found when I lost my card for a month and started using my wife's card they stopped sending offers altogether. When I went back to my card again the good offers started rolling in ie. $160 earn 750 and $200 earn 1000 came in two weeks. So if your offers start getting worse then swap cards for a while.

I use the one email address for all of our family accounts and I've never had a problem with the everyday rewards offer system. I just have to make sure I read the offers carefully and make sure I use the right card for the right offer. The bonus points occasionally go missing but they've never turned up in the wrong account. Everyday rewards have never complained about me using the same email address for multiple accounts.
