Ebay clamping down on sale of QF Club passes

I don't see why you should be able to 'sell' lounge passes. Gifting is fine but selling crosses the line. IMHO.
That's OK. Fine line between 'gifting' and 'selling'. In both cases the original recipient of the Qantas Club passes is not likely to be attending the lounge.

And I'm not a huge fan of Qantas restrictive terms and conditions of late.

Well, no, actually. There's a clear distinction between gifting and selling.

Didn't last long, counted 29 sales on ebay
tonight.

It was always all talk, there have been many crackdowns before when Qantas complain, Ebay temporarily crack down. It's not as if Ebay are going to pay for a permanent resource to check on this. It is after all Qantas T & C s and hence their own role/benefit to enforce.

I would imagine that these passes would have a certain wastage, but that selling of the passes would decrease this. If so it would cost Qantas $.

I'm curious as to why they haven't gone with a virtual lounge pass system like VA.

Any one who falls for that #25 is a mug, eh?

You'd be surprised how many people sign up paying the full $89.50 joining fee.

Yes, save on postage as well as everything else. The eBay crack down comes around every few years, but there are other outlets. And the cheapest I see them is $40, up to $60.
