Earn up to 3,000 Qantas Points with PayPal

Received an email from Qantas today:
Turn your everyday spend into a points payday with PayPal. You can now earn 2 Qantas Points per $1 spent - and new PayPal customers can earn a bonus 1,000 Qantas Points just for registering with PayPal.*

Whether you are new to PayPal or an existing member, register for this exclusive offer now and start earning when you pay with PayPal. Offer ends 31 January 2020.

Need to register for the offer by clicking a link. However, there seems to be a problem with the link - I kept getting an error message when I tried to register using Firefox or Internet Explorer. However, it did work when I used Chrome.

I don't use PayPal very often but I could pay a few bills (and do a bit of Christmas shopping) over the next couple of months that would get me close to the $1000 needed to earn maximum points.

The Qantas Premier Platinum Card delivers up to 100k Qantas Points, 75 bonus Status Credits, complimentary lounge invitations and travel insurance. All this with a reduced first-year annual fee of $199.

I also had problems getting to Step 3, but I did get notification of a $0.01 payment to PayPal for "Linking your Qantas Frequent Flyer Number".

Took me three attempts starting last night but today registration finally worked. Won’t change any behaviours but as I already have auto PayPal payments setup a few points for nothing is always welcome.

Appears to be a targeted offer:

'offers are valid until 31 January 2020 to new and existing PayPal members and only available to the recipient of this email and cannot be shared.'

Yesterday was getting a 404 error when navigating to the link. This morning the page loads, but after logging into PayPal, the re-direct back the page fails (but I still get charged the 1c).

Got this as well. Do a few PayPal payments anyway so easy points. Would be nice if this led to a regular thing.

I haven't received the offer but my Son received the offer yesterday. As others have said the link did not work yesterday but I've just tried again and I have registered through my PayPal account. Whether my PayPal spend will post bonus points to his QFF account we'll have to wait and see. There was nowhere to enter my QFF number during the registration so I couldn't enter mine but I got the Step 3 - Complete screen so it's obviously linked his QFF account.

Continuing to fail the linking process. I can log in to my PayPal, select an account to deduct the 1c from. However, when it re-directs back to the Qantas site I get -

"Transaction Failed, Please try after sometime."
then
"Thanks for visiting ! Please check the URL and try again with full URL"

And I've tried copy pasting the link from the mail, clicking the link in the mail, and two different browsers. Guess there's no one really to report this to, and for 2000 points is it worth the hassle anyway?

I am in same boat. Lots of 1c transactions appearing on my Amex App but no confirmations

I today chose to use Paypal instead of simply entering my card details on a website to see what would happen. Hopefully the points don't take the many months they do when coming from the Qantas Mall!

Anyone manage to get through the whole process successfully? :)

All I get is "Transaction Failed, Please try after sometime" followed by

"Thanks for visiting !

Please check the URL and try again with full URL "
