Good to see they have re-activated the page in the opening post. I have registered and got a screen shot which I will place here (easier to find) and got the email confirmation as well within seconds.

I didn’t get an email when I registered off the email. I did get one when I registered again off the website notice.

I want to travel to Europe in June 2019 but aren't ready (don't have the cash to book right now) and would like to take advantage of this but:

Method 1: Book a domestic flight and change it later

Looks like that wont work ...

"If you change or cancel your initial qualifying booking ... this bonus offer will not apply."

Method 2: Buy a voucher to use it later

Again, that may not work.

For example, if I buy a voucher now and book in January 2109 for a flight in June 2019 I haven't "redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period", but it is ambiguous. Does it mean the booking must be made between "12.01am (AEST) 9 August 2018 and 11.59pm (AEST) 14 August 2018" or the flight must be taken between "21 August 2018 and 8 August 2019".

Any suggestions?

"Flight gift vouchers purchased but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period will not earn double Status Credits."

In my email it says:

"Flight gift vouchers purchased *during the promotion* but not redeemed for an eligible flight booking during the promotion period will not *be* earn double Status Credits."

I reckon this makes it even clearer what they're *trying* to say, but they still don't manage it. It really shouldn't be that hard...

Aaargghhh, forgot about the GMT/AEST time time shift. Registered before 10am. Better go and re-read the T&C's

We might both be in a slight pickle going on previous promo T&C's. But I'm going to rely on this in Qantas's email (bolding for emphasis):

Simply register and book between 12.01am (AEST) 9 August

Remarkable. Booked a trip for Mrs Pineapple ADL-BNE yesterday, and in a rerun of the last DSC offer, client booked me a work trip Monday BNE-DXB. Both in bloody J.

Consolation prize was an unexpected good fare on an unexpected reprise of the A380 for the BNE-DXB trip, and the good fare had evaporated last night, leaving me feeling smug. Momentarily.

Cheers skip

There may still be a way @mtbsafari, but I'm not at liberty to share with the broad population. Let's just call it the double yolker option.

Just registered this morning, not sure it's been asked before, but what if i were to book via the CTM (corporate travel mgmt) portal, do i still qualify for DSC ?
T&C's refer to bookings via travel agents being ok

So what are they trying to say? Unless they define exactly what the promotion period is, the T&C's are entirely subjective.

So travel agents booked flights on EK operated but with QF flight no to Europe would be ok?

Unless they define exactly what the promotion period is, the T&C's are entirely subjective.

I've already said words to that effect.

But it's obvious they intend the phrase "during the promotion" to mean 9-14 August in this particular sentence.

Why a massive company can't get someone competent to put these things together is beyond me.

It says QF operated QF coded flight. So no other metal.

And I still dont know why we're talking about eggs.

Well there seems to be an allusion to some sort of additional bonus available if one books via a travel agent.

If I could figure out how to PM on the mobile version of AFF I would as someone to please elaborate

I dont know any specific reason to book via an agent unless they are giving you a great deal or can organise the trip for you.
I did use an agent once year but they was when flight centre waived credit card fees on price matches
