Just got one of these emails with one week to book, travel by sep 15 on a qf flight number.

Slight problem is I'm currently based in Shanghai. Anyone see any good value trips?

The QF number requirement makes it a bit tricky as it basically means you'll have to book a trip to Australia if you want to take advantage of this. You should be able to get QF codes on routes like PVG-other Chinese destinations (MU metal), PVG-HKG or PVG-SIN (I'm guessing), connecting with QF to Aus. But you can only get access to these codes in connection with an actual QF flight, i.e. to Australia.

I do hear of some good SC earning opportunities in Japan though if you can get yourself there.

I'm there in July and have already lined up some good sc earns.

Thanks for the advice. Best I can earn rate I can get back to aus is maybe $3.80 per sc.

I have a london trip in september. Contemplating PVG>SYD>LDN return. Gets me way more credits on than just PVG>LDN on a BA codeshare.

I also got a 50% bonus email today. I'm only 60 SCs off SG which I'll get easily thanks to a trip to the US next month (which I booked two weeks ago, sigh). I assumed I was targeted but they'd be able to see that my current bookings get me well over the line without any SC bonus.

If only the email came a couple of weeks ago. Might need to book my August/September travel well in advance to take advantage of it.

You need to have flown with them lots before then cut back on your spending I've found, I book with them now as second preference on domestic and see the offers more often than when I was WP

Yea! Got a 50% (not double, sigh...) SC offer today. Was agonizing whether to book EK or QF to retain platinum. Now decision is easy!

Have just booked European trip with QF (or EK metal. )

But, trying to use a voucher as part of the booking was impossible. QF don't make it easy to use voucher. Despite being bought through my QF login, apparently it was in not-complete names and did not have our FF numbers even. And, one can't use voucher for open-jaw flights. Had to phone the help line who resolved the issues for us and finished off the booking.

I got a DOUBLE offer today. My bookings with Qantas have dropped right off in the last few months due to a change in job so obviously targeted.

I do need to book a trip to the US in August but not sure I can lock in the dates just yet. Will certainly try to in the next week!

Yes bloody useless since we fly to Rome on Saturday on a 50% SC bonus via last offer. Feel like cancelling and rebooking!
