Yeah, 2 full days of the “wait 3 to 5 days” have passed. Maybe I’ll play call centre bingo tomorrow arvo and hope to get AU.@Captain Halliday, you need to try again - with a CSA that knows what to do...Platinum please
I gave it another fortnight. Still nothing. Rang Qantas. They said they'd have to send it off for manual intervention which could take up to 48 hours.OK. I gave it the six weeks. Flights purchased with GV; ADL - MEL - LST on the 14th February. Bonus points for first leg appeared on the 28th Feb but nothing for the second leg. Rang this evening and was advised that it's actually six to eight weeks and they might appear next week.
Bit strange as I've flown since then and the bonus points came through within a week, although that was an actual return flight, originally booked as such.
Oh well, give it another fortnight!

I have. No change.@Captain Halliday, this augers well for you...have you checked your account today?
Seen as I am fairly new to this site but have been a very frequent flyer since 1992. Can someone please explain to me about all this GV use for flights during DSC periods. I am not up to speed with it all. It appears that there is an advantage by using GVs but I cannot see what it is. Any help or explanation would be appreciated.
. Well hoping by Monday it's in - as there is usually a Saturday IT run at QF.
Wow sorry if I had known that I would not have asked but thanks for the reply.People will deliberately not answer your post. But if you read back through the thread and previous DSC threads it should give you a fairly good idea of what it's about. The mods have also said people should refrain from discussion on it and keep the thread focused.
Also blocking PMs (Conversations) means that you won't get a private response to questions like this either.Wow sorry if I had known that I would not have asked but thanks for the reply.

No problems won't ask again. It's fine to ask, but I'm just telling you why no one will probably answer you in the thread. There's been plenty of discussion though, so it's probably not too hard to find in this thread and others.
Thanks for the advice found another thread on this site that spelt it all out plain and simple. Oh and just for interest found some flights that will cost you 3.27 per SC and 2.72 per SC which will be very handy on the current 50% bonus and the next DSC promotionIt's fine to ask, but I'm just telling you why no one will probably answer you in the thread. September's promo only had double POINTS on EK to NZ, LHR and SIN. The double SCs were only on QF. Unless we're talking about a different promo...
True, but I did not get DP either. *shrug* (and I believed that was on EK flight numbers not QF code, but whatever)
There is zero way the DSC runs are manual - only corrects and adjustments to fix omissions.
...
Certainly no way there's manual mass processing of promotions. IMHO
You would assume there is serious auditing being done on the process given the potential cost of benefits being handed out. Heck, even the cost of the tags plus the shiny brochure box thingo that comes out when you first reach a status level would be a big enough dent to not get this wrong. The process may be manual even if it's done via a batch system. I.e. someone has the job to run the "process promotion" batch every few days.
