Have you registered for double status credits?

Yeah - hence the 80 'bonus' SCs (sorry could have been clearer!)

I have to get 60 status credits - have 11 days to make it to silver. Any suggestions? I live between Gold Coast and Brisbane airports.

Well with Double Status Credits, you would only need to earn another 30 status credits. The current offer is valid for travel on Qantas flights from 28 February, so you'd basically have to fly on 28 or 29 February to earn your status credits by the end of your membership year.

A round-trip Qantas Economy red-eDeal fare from Brisbane or Gold Coast to Melbourne on 28/29 Feb would suffice.

I appreciate the current DSC offer from Qantas is a great opportunity but remember there are other ways of getting your points.
I had already booked my trip to NZ in 2 weeks before this offer was made.
For less than the price of one way economy flex on QF SYD-ZQN $788 (40 SCs), I picked up return JQ SYD-ZQN-SYD $631 (80 SCs) with Max Bundle.

Ive had a booking for 2 people to Bali for a while. If I split and create a new PNR do you think this might somehow register as a new booking? I know, wishful thinking.

Hello, I need 305 credits to get to Gold before April 2020. I'm based in Singapore. Some suggestions would be great please.

Cheapest is still the MH fares IMO.
SIN-KUL-BKK for around $700 return in J and 160SC’s
SIN-KUL-DPS for around $800 in J and 200SC’s
Plenty of other good fares with them aswell and you could even do some in a day like SIN-KUL-LGK for $700 in J and 160SC’s
QF has their DSC running currently, I haven’t looked into it to see what a Y or PE fare to Australia is.

Thank you. I'll look into that. Is it best to go for MH or QF status in that case? If using MH metal.

Are you based in SIN permanently?
You will need to make sure you flown your 4 eligible QF segments aswell.
I don’t know much about the MH Enrich program but flying Asian segments on MH is a good earner of QF SC’s

I'm looking to get 175 status credits before March 31st in order to retain platinum... Based out of Sydney. Best I can come up with is business sale to Christchurch (80+80SC bonus) returning on QF emirates economy sale (20SC) for $798. If anyone has any thoughts on a cheaper way I'd be much obliged!

Try Syd to cairns via Brisbane and back direct. (Or via Brisbane if you want a few extra) can do it in a day.

Yes, I am based in SIN permanently. I've got the segments covered ok. Thanks for the MH tip. Two BKK trips and I'm gold

Can fly 3K ex SIN for segments on the cheap.
Yes, I booked last week SIN-BKK with a MAX bundle for SGD163 all up - earns 30 SC ...

MAX bundle give points, SC's free seat selection from all available seats, 30Kg checked luggage, water and muffin in flight

I wonder if a work trip booked yesterday morning just before the signup link was up would qualify for double SC, not that it matters as P1 is waaaay to far to reach before my renewal hits.

I was in Australia last week, gutted the double SC only came out after my trip.if I plan it right, I can get gold before the membership year ends and then go for platinum next year.

Unfortunately, no. You may try cancelling the ticket and re-booking after registering for the promo

HBA-SYD-AKL 26 May Rtn 29 May

$4500 + 1 night accom in Bali for 1520 SC Flown + 150 bonus = 1670 SC ($2.70/SC)

Edit: Is possible to do a 1hr connection in Bali, but I wouldn’t be confident.

Very creative. Looks good apart from the MEL-DPS being on a 737 and there is no way I could do an overnight on one anymore
