You obviously haven't flown domestic F in America. They take up all the overhead space, they try to steal seats, blankets, pillows, whatever they can get their hands on. It's pretty feral what some of them get up to.
I have done F & you are correct about the ferals but so long as you are there just before boarding it is fine.

I would also add the complete absence of any IFE on the domestic A321s. They have inflight wifi (paid - best to book on the ground for a day pass to save money there) but all TV and films are streamed to your own device at a cost, up to $5.99 each. This makes for an extremely boring experience, if, like me, your devices run out of power and despite various websites including aa.com there is no "in seat power" on the 321s, only the transcon variant. So charge everything fully and take a power bank, top up in lounges.

Full service airline? I don't think so. Some of the food was edible but nothing to get excited over. The cabin is full of upgraders who have some serious DYKWIA going on.

But if they board 2 mins early and you're not there, your bag ends up in coach and there is a boarding gate a scrum when they call group 1.

The trouble with the calculator is that you need to know what "fare type" you are booked in.

Try to work it out with a JL Domestic Class J fare (using just the calculator)?
And the calculator it seems is not as accurate as it could be.

The calculator shows BOS-PHL as 30SC in First.

It is booked in 'A' so should be 40 for 'Intra USA Short Haul'

Under "Simpler and Fairer" Mk 2 domestic USA flights under a certain distance earn 30 SC's not 40 ...

This changed during Phase 2 of the simpler & fairer when all partner airlines started to earn by "fare type".

790SC US$819 booked for travel at the end of June. I have three nights in PTY to regroup.

But regardless of that I will be checking my sanity at the door of the first flight.

Wow, that seems like exceptionally good value!!

That's an excellent run, how many bookings in that one?

And at about 29.5 minutes before departure if you're not there they like to get started on clearing the upgrade stand-by list! If you're not on they can give your seat away. (I exaggerate slightly - it's closer to 28 minutes!)
