Have a flights booked next week which will hopefully push me over. In fact I hope the morning flight will push me over and I'll jump up to SG for the return flight.

But as is typical of my generation I want it now.

Yes, it'll be touch or go alright (hence my want it now attitude). I'll report back.

If it is Qantas, the app will update almost immediately on landing. The system might be slower but show them then QF app and all good. Other carriers are generally a couple of days.

Flights will indeed be with QF. It seems to take a variable amount of time for the SCs to post but I figure I have a chance of something updating in time.

Coming soon to an airport near you: step up 2: the gold. From the directors that bought you last month's hit "Road to Silver"!

Current standard pricing for MH BKK-xKUL-MNL return is around AU$750. Earns 240SC, so about $3/SC. That price requires two nights in MNL.

Can always try to coincide with the opening of the new Conrad in MNL and make it a status + mattress run!!

5 SC flight ideas? -_-

MEL-LST, MEL-HBA or MEL/AVV-SYD on the cheapest JQ ticket you can find. Purchase a plus bundle in one direction only. Then, do a Tiger price beat for the return if it works out cheaper.

Alternatively, maybe wait for a sale on QF flights to Mildura?

Hi All
Done some great research today on this site and with a few amazing websites for booking but one thing that has stumped me is

Is there a way to find AA points earned and more importantly status credits earned, per flight, per class Y J or F.

QF and VA have nice tables or calculators were you can see what you would earn each class on each leg, was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction, as I cant find anything.

Cheers

PS sorry if this is in the wrong thread let me know were i should be posting this.

Basically AA earns miles based on distance flown and fare class. The more Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs) the higher the status. https://www.aa.com/i18n/AAdvantage/earnMiles/airlines/american.jsp

But this is the QF thread, so we digress. :)

See here for more info: A couple of questions from an AAdvantage newbie

F sale now on.
AKL - BNE.
26 Dec 16.
Nzd$899.
If I had my next sub contractor payment in full, this is what I would do next.

Wow that's great value..

Just had a look to travel in May and it's indeed NZD$ 899 (AUD$810) which equals to $6.75/SC.

Same flight booked from Australia is AUD$1322

Very tempting to do a status run which will push me way over Gold =D

re: Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options

It coincides with the current QF BUSINESS class NZ SALE. That's discussed on another thread here

re: Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options

I don't have access to a credit card, but WOW, QF is really having a very cheap J and F sale at the moment.
I don't get a lot of $ till end of May, hope QF will keep up the NZ J and F sales.
ADL - AKL in J for Jul this year, Aud$7xx and coming back Aud$6xx.
Tsk tsk, if I had the advanced funds, I could easily keep SG this year with that sale.
Even cheaper to fly to NZ than flying to Tasmania for the same period.
Flight times are purfect too.
PS, will chek up on the (other) QF J and F sales thread now.

re: Discussion/Q&A on Best QF Status Run Options

Is there a trick to getting the far book into $NZ from SYD to AKL so it doesn't default to $A

Not really, just book starting in New Zealand. i.e. AKL-SYD-AKL. The currency is pretty much always set by the location of the starting point.
