Did you do this all on the qantas website? Over the phone or split between qantas and Malaysia airlines.
I couldn't find out how to book the flights between dps-kul-mnl

It's not possible to book it all as a single itinerary on either QF or MH websites.

You could book two separate tickets but if you decide to do this, I would highly recommend overnighting in both directions at DPS to allow for delays. Two separate tickets will not have any protection in the event of a misconnect, and QF will generally not check through to MH on the outbound, although MH policy is to check through other oneworld airlines.

A travel agent can advise on whether it's possible to book both fares into a single PNR - perhaps drop @madrooster a PM?

Hi Everyone
I'm facing a first-world problem that scares most of us silly - losing my Gold FF status. It was bad enough losing my Platinum status but to now lose Gold would be enough to consign me to a year of travel doldrums.
Here is my situation and I would appreciate suggestions on how to retain my gold status as economically as possible.
I currently have 285 SC and my anniversary is 28 Feb 19.
I have to travel from my home in Krakow Poland back to BNE on or around 23 February.
I am currently based in Tokyo and will be here until 19 January. The flights back to Poland from Japan have already been booked on non One World airlines.
My family and I travel back to Australia from Japan for Xmas (22 Dec - 03 Jan) this trip has already been book using award flights.
I have $450 travel credit to use with my Amex Ultimate card ( I tried booking a QF code-share flight from WAW to BNE through the Amex travel site to use this $450 but the flights didn't appear in the Amex search)
I will also have to travel to BNE - CNS on or around 25 February
I would like to book asap to take advantage of double status points promotion.
Any help, direction or advice on how to achieve the required 315 SCs (or 265 if I take into account my 50SC bonus at 500SC) as cheaply as possible would be appreciated.

Seperate bookings, Melbnourne to Denpasar on the qantas website, Denpasar to Manila on the Malaysia airlines website.

TYO-CNS in Flex Y on QF (fare basis HFJB1) allows an interesting routing which could work well for you: TYO-BNE-SYD-CNS.

The base SC for this is 220 SC return, so 440 SC total after DSC. Seemingly unlimited stopovers with no additional fee.

$1850ish according to ExpertFlyer

This would work but I will be in BNE already as I will be flying TYO-KRK (already booked) on 19 Jan and then on or around 23 Feb I propose to fly KRK - BNE (not yet booked) I appreciate the suggestion though.

I just had to put your post above into chronological order to make sure I had it right. I'd be looking to use the $450 travel credit for BNE/CNS/BNE and have a separate ticket WAW.../BNE return [unless you can get a WAW/.../BNE/CNS and then return on the same ticket. This is where a TA would be enormously helpful, unless you love looking up fares and understand all the fare rules.

Flying a fair bit for my new work, but with my calculations, this year before my rollover date, I wont make gold. Need 350 status credits to guarantee it (probably only need about 150 if i factor in likely flights) but I dont want to risk it, and may as well get it sooner rather than later.

With the current double status credit offer on, figured I would look and see - guess I need what would normally be 175 status credits if i book before Tuesday. So looking for suggestions - starting from MEL, happy to just fly somewhere and back, and ideally keep it under $1500 if possible

Return to OOL in J? No, only gives 240. Maybe a creative routing?

Try J MEL-SYD-CHC-BNE-MEL. Will need an overnight at CHC airport but should yield SC 40-80-80-60, with current DSC offer = 520SC, job done. You just need to check current pricing this run used to be quite cheap but not sure if it has changed.

$1,253 gets you what you need.

MEL-SYD-DPS in J for $1016 and 320 SC. Come home on Jetstar in Y with a plus bundle for $237 and 40 SC.

Good idea, although I'd suggest doing it in the other opposite order.

SGs in JQ Y don't get lounge access in DPS but they do in SYD, and the overnight leg would be in J.

Unfortunately those connecting flights are far more expensive than the direct flights these days.

When did that kick in. This has been a good SC return on the dollars spent even without DSC. Well at least these days I do not have to travel to CHC.

At least all of this year, and possibly late last year. We definitely made good use of it but now a connection is double the cost.

Hi folks,
having a play around to get the maximum from this current DSC.
Based in Wellington and looking at the best earn rates. seems that a WLG-SYD-MEL RT is the best i have found in terms of $perSC and for convenience I can do this easily as a day return.
Just wondering if there are any other opportunities that i haven't found that others can share?
$1961NZD for 500SC's - $3.91/SC still seems pretty high...
