Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I enquired earlier today on the Wynns website asking for participating stores in my area. No reply yet. I will share if the Wynns Consumer Relations Team replies.

UPDATE: I guess they don't want to drive store traffic to their independents after all. Or more likely, they have no idea who they are....

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us at Wynns.

The offer will run in participating independent stores (excluding Dan Murphys, BWS, Liquorland, First Choice and Vintage Cellars) and (excluding online) which are displaying promotional material (Stores) in Australia.
Unfortunately, we can't be more specific about the participating stores.

Kind Regards,
Lili
Wynns Consumer Relations Team"
I agree, it is the most idiotic promotion that I came across of late. You can actually see the stores listed if you use the drop menu where it says "Select your store". Mind you I tried a few of them without success. I found a retailer in Melbourne who angrily told me that Wynns promoters pulled online offer a day before promo started. But he offered for me to buy Wynns products online and send me an invoice as if I picked them up at the store. 7 Wynns BL CS 2022 for $210 plus $12 delivery. However, I wonder if it is worth it.

All depends if you want the jacket or not? Any idea how much one would fetch on Marketplace or Gumtree? You could end up with a 6 pack of BL for next to nothing

Some museum Meshach offered over at Cellar One at $91 per bottle in three packs

Edit, pulled a trigger on 2001 vintage

I'd say given that Cellar One is Accolade Wines are owners of Grant Burge, they get it directly from the winery. As museum stock is my guess. Very limited release .. at the time of this post - only 14 packs available.
I rang them and they are from the winery. Selling some of the old ones due to a move of storage. The person mentioned the 09, 10 and 12 as his favs.

As I said, I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
So I escaped from work at lunchtime clutching a bottle of 2021 Schild Three Springs Shiraz in my hand as I headed to a restaurant in the CBD that allows me to bring my stuff to try out.

I was very critical bearing in mind that some thought it was cough 😜. I even warned my companion and brought a back up bottle of something else just in case!

I quite enjoyed it. Maybe a bit over acidic right off the bat and a little green. I told that to my mate and he looked at me like I was on drugs. Got a lot better in 30min after the opening. Should age really well. Nice mix of intertwined black and blue fruits upfront on the palate, long and satisfying finish (not overly long) Overall a joy to drink.

Maybe not much on the nose if I was to be uber critical, but I am grabbing another 6 pack!
