Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Speaking of mega discounts, recently saw this on GWD and I think it must be the worst case of ridiculous RRP's I've come across so far.

$300 for a Barossa Pinot noir...At what point does it go from misleading to a straight out scam?
This used to be a very reputable brand for Barossa Shiraz about 15-20 years ago, with Chris Ringland as a chief winemaker and Robert Parker's Wine Advocate giving it 95 points or so. No idea who is in charge of this brand now.

Langtons price 2010 FU Shiraz $100-$120 a bottle https://www.langtons.com.au/p/r.-wines-fu-shiraz--barossa-valley-2010-bottle/auc-var-26263960.html

It is indeed a nice Shiraz! I love Shiraz from cooler regions. I find them more delicate and elegant.
I got 5 free cases of that one 🙄😂
Last month they did it with the Cabernet which is even better. Add to that their excellent customers service and cellarone is getting most of my wines money atm (unlike cellardoor…)

Oddbins have a premium & a budget auction ending 20:00 tomorrow ACT

Registration is required but is currently free

Terrible website btw.
View catalogue is an eye-bending, RSI inducing scroll-fest of multiple offerings of identical lots. Can use #Find.
Better is "register/ log in & select "Bid Now". That list can be filtered & searched.

I enquired earlier today on the Wynns website asking for participating stores in my area. No reply yet. I will share if the Wynns Consumer Relations Team replies.
Came across this "wine deal"

Spend $200 on Wynns to receive a Driza-Bone Lumberjack Heritage Jacket for $50

Check T&Cs incl. The offer will run in participating stores (excluding Dan Murphys, BWS, Liquorland, First Choice and Vintage Cellars) and (excluding online) which are displaying promotional material (Stores) in Australia.

UPDATE: I guess they don't want to drive store traffic to their independents after all. Or more likely, they have no idea who they are....

"Thank you for taking the time to contact us at Wynns.

Unfortunately, we can't be more specific about the participating stores.

Kind Regards,

Really wanted to try that Haut Bailly but it wouldn't go through checkout.
I almost grabbed the Haut-Bailly II, but I'm not sure whether it is a half bottle, given the mentioned RRP? Still probably an ok buy (equivalent to $70 a bottle).
as might befit Tyson Stelzer, not only a different url for his Langton’s Private sale, but also high-end offering, mainly Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy - ends this Friday
