Not sure re 2009 vintage, but I have purchased and drunk most of 2012 Merlot in a regular bottle. It is definitively very different to any merlot I had in the past. I quite liked it but can see why some didn't.

I recall getting them for $10 a bottle at Dan's clearance and there were reports of heat damage. Out of 2 dozens that I got - I think one or two were corked.

I tried the vintage 2009 from Clarendon Hills before, one is Shiraz and one is Mataro. Both are pretty good. If no cork problem I quite like the Clarendon hills Shiraz.

Bad news for anyone that took the punt on the $150 Cellardoor Mystery packs.
Mine arrived with mostly barely drinkables

Wolf Blass Black Label Cab Shiraz
Saltram 1859 Shiraz
Rosemount GSM
Penfolds Koonunga Hill Seventy Six Shiraz Cab
Pepperjack Shiraz Cab
Wynns The Siding Cab Sav

I think theyre balancing the ledger after the last round of Mystery Pack pillaging.

How close to $150 does the RRP for those wines get to?

Should describe this as the Qantas business lounge pack.
