First Business Award Flights Booked

Hello! First time poster here. I've just booked x 2 award business flights with QR: MEL-ATH then CDG-MEL mid September to early November 2027. A mix of Amex points, PC subscription and purchase of avios when the big offers were available. To say the least we are very excited! Last time we holidayed overseas was Italy for 3 weeks in 2018 and we were upgraded to business with Etihad. Now I can look forward to the Qsuites, meals and drinks and start planning the rest of our trip

Those first J awards are very special. You should enjoy QR service in the air as it is very good.
Just don’t have any problems on the ground as their response can be terrible. We have had a couple of problems but always keep asking as eventually on both occasions we found a QR staff member that was excellent and problems solved quickly.
I hope you can enjoy many more J flights and maybe an F flight. Our first real F flight came when our Jawards were upgraded to F. Miracles can happen.[/USER]

Thank you @drron and @RooFlyer! I am hoping we don't have any need to contact QR for help as I have heard it can leave a lot to be desired. I love reading and viewing reviews about the qsuite experience but my husband would rather it all be a wonderful surprise. @RooFlyer I would love to have some time at the Doha garden lounge however we only have a 2 hour layover at 5:45 on our 1st flight but hopefully we can have a nice dinner and shower on the return flight as we have a 3h 25m stopover at 17:00.

You seem to know the go, but a reminder that if you want to shower, go there immediately after you enter the lounge, as sometimes there’s a wait. When I was there last week, there was no wait, but it really depends on the time you arrive. And of course, depending on which end of the terminal you arrive or depart at, you can either use the garden lounge or the original J lounge, which is still pretty good, including the restaurant there
