Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Tahbilk currently has a few buy 3 get 3 free wine offers for their wine club members (free to join). The pick for me is the 1927 Vines Marsanne (2016) - 6 bottles for $134.84, which works out to $22.50/bottle. Shipping is $20, but free if the order is over $200.

They also have:
  • Eric Stevens Purbrick - both Cab Sav & Shiraz (both 2017), 6 for $218.85, which works out to be $36.47/bottle - this has definitely been founder cheaper elsewhere before though
  • Old Vines Cab Shiraz (2019) 6 for $134.84, which works out to $22.50/bottle
I've always been a big fan of the 1927 Vines Marsanne, so are going to get a dozen and try and age most them, which I've never been able to do in the past as I always justified to myself that they already came with 6+ years of age when bought, so just ended up drinking them within a year or so.

Thanks. Love the Marsanne. Can often get it cheaper when younger but would defo pay a bit more for some age.

I think that might be the standard Marsanne if you're getting it younger (which is also cheaper) - from what I understand they wait at least 6 years for the 1927 Vines Marsanne before releasing it

The 2020 Shiraz would be pre CW bottlings, Schild Estate Barossa Shiraz 2020
They seem to be rebranded every vintage for the past 5 years

The $10 surcharges for less than a dozen and less than 6 bottles each is a bit annoying !

Winestar seldom (almost never) do discount codes. Once you go down that path you can't stop easily and it has to become your new business model as people wait for a code to buy (see Vinomofo). Bert has done a couple for me on a specific wine that he had a good margin on, one a year and I asked very nicely. :)
