Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Has anyone had any experience with this?
I have a GWD voucher that would make this $80 delivered
Ha, opened one yesterday, from same deal last month, has been available for some time. Good. Medium bodied (for me), distinctively Cabernet. No need to cellar any longer. Would get more if I had another $40 voucher.

30% cash back at Boozebud ($30 cap)
20% wine promotion from yesterday is still available but I'd expect this to roll off shortly

Worth considering:
Wynn's bl shiraz 19
Henschke Keyneton
Yalumba Signature

Thank you, I went for the jansz late disgorged. $33 a bottle.

2 bottles of Yalumba signature at $59.99 falling 2 cents short of the $120 minimum is pretty annoying :(

Hi I also received an email from GWD regarding an unused voucher of $40. Does anyone have experience to the cleanskin below?

$11.99 / bt

$13.99 / bt

$9.99 / bt

Many thanks in advance for your comment. Just noticed that minimum spending is $100 for using the voucher.

I believe Pommery is a very commerical label, no recent reviews of note, but for the money worth a shot.
I found some at a VC store and they were happy to drop from $30 to $10 pb so I grabbed 6. Popped one open - interesting it has a proper cork, but not as tasty as the Lanson Black piccolos that I got for the same price last year.

Katnook Estate is on sale at cellar one - $27/bottle in a 6 pack case
Currently $35/bottle at Dan's

I highly recommend their cab sauv
I’ve just opened my second one of these. The first one was very acidic and also heavily tannic so I thought I’d let them sit for a few months. The second was the same. Does it need a lot of aeration or more likely mine have been damaged in some way?

I am yet to drink my recent Katnooks. Last time I had this was the 2012 which I enjoyed

They are a bit more acidic in general but didn't find it overly done

I replied to an email from Wine Star saying how disappointed I was that they had resorted to selling the Curtis Cavaliere with its massive RRP discount, when usually they could be relied upon for recommendations: Mystery MC151 McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 - Mystery Wine
Perhaps I should have read the original email more closely as there was a comment about the RRP, but based on the reply I got (and removing me from the mailing list), they didn't appreciate my feedback...

Thanks for that, one more company to put on the do not buy from list. Does not say much when a company cannot take constructive feedback from their customers.

That is hilarious! Part of me admires a business that can say “I don’t want you as a customer’ just for being negative. It’s $60 at the Wine Collective with a glowing report and a recommendation to “stick it in the broom cupboard” Respect for that cellaring advice. I would never buy Curtis, I despise their business model.

Thanks for the feeeback, they are sending replacements.
Cellarone customer service is great and prices are very competitive too.

Maybe it's me but it's just a transactional relationship, nothing more. Go with the cheapest option after cash back, codes, etc

Agreed - WS are being too cavalier promoting the discounts off RRP
