Anyone tried -Vandemonian - Coal River Pinot Noir or Eddystone Point - Pinot Noir.

Local has over 50% off at the moment.

I've had the 2017 Eddystone Point which was fantastic for the price (circa $22 a bottle before discounts).

Unfortunately, I haven't tried the more recent vintage which doesn't seem to be rated quite as highly.

2018 vintage currently $19.67 from cellarone. less if you have any cellar dollars

Something a bit different in this offering from Cellar One.

2013 Grant Burge Holy Trinity GSM MAGNUM. $78 (including free postage).

Customer Login

‘The Holy Trinity is a traditional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The fruit for this wine is 100% Barossa grown, predominantly handpicked from old, dry-grown vines which range from 50 to 120 years old. The 2013 vintage provided exceptional conditions throughout the entire growing season. A cool dry winter continued to a dry spring and summer, leading to lower than average yields. On the positive, low yielding vineyards led to some sensational quality, particularly in the reds showing great colour and mighty structures. This release is a blend of 57% Grenache, 30% Shiraz and 13% Mourvèdre.

The 2013 The Holy Trinity is a richly flavoured and elegantly structured GSM that continues the long and lauded heritage for this traditional blend in the Barossa Valley. The nose is awash with ripe plums, Christmas pudding and liqueur cherries with sweet spices and a hint of some more savoury, earthy notes that add to the complexity. The palate is rich and juicy with vibrant flavours of fresh plums and berries, chai tea and fruitcake, with fine tannins that run the length of the palate. The dense, mouth-filling mid palate and long, textural finish combine to create a wine that is rich and elegant, sweet and savoury, and will sit beautifully on any table now, or cellar gracefully for the future.

Perfect for gifting in this beautiful presentation box!’

I had a $20 code about to expire so grabbed one of these - it arrived last week and I just opened the box to lay it down today, I am impressed by the bottle... I only have a couple of different magnums but they are all Bordeaux style bottles - this is Burgandy style, and quite chunky - while it’s only packaging, it oozes quality compared to say a Wolf Blass Grey label or a Wynns Black cab.

Hopefully the contents live up to my first impressions

Will you be opening yours soon? Should be right in the middle of its drinking window

No plans to, I hadn looked at the drinking window but being a magnum and my preference for a bit of age, I am likely to lean towards the end of the drinking window. I think published drinking windows are based on 750ml bottles. When do you plan to open yours?

I'm not in a hurry but I'll most likely have it this year whenever the opportunity presents itself. I have not tried this line before so keen to see what it's like with a bit of age on it

You might be in luck if you are keen.
They are back in stock from Langtons albeit I was told only about 40+ bottles or so left from my broker
This is the Clarendon Grenache one though.
This is a good guide to understand Clarendon Hills classifications
I believe Langtons stock is Cru class Grenache. It would sit above Domaine range which I believe an entry level wines.

I would not compare Clarendon Hills with Curtis. They are not in the same league.

Curtis makes wines with ridiculous systemic jacked up RRP so they can offer them at huge discounts pretty much permanently.

Some of Clarendon Hills wine prices lately are naturally depressed by the export markets hence these sales. They are highly rated by the Wine Advocate.

It looks like CellarOne has opened up for referral again, as well as the 20% discount on certain wines.

Not super deals, but I've been finding Amazon have some half decent prices occasionally, especially if you have Prime and prefer bottles in smaller quantities. Be aware that prices do fluctuate. (discounted egift card can also be used for lower prices. I get mine at 3% off with suncorp) Below are are few i noticed, others available at decent prices also. Some may even see the Grant Burge Shadrach as decent at $58, or the Houghton Gladstones Cabernet Sauvignon at $55

Stonier Reserve Pinot Noir $35.63

Hardys HRB Shiraz $16.70

Petaluma Shiraz $34.84

St Hallett Butchers Cart Shiraz $20 (out of stock ATM) $19.60 from cellarone
Dan's have dropped the Reserve Stonier to $37. Lower than BWS price for the standard one...

Really appreciate this information, you sold me.

Looks like 1.5% CB. If anyone in SA wants 3, hit me up! I'm ordering 2 cases 👍

I've unfortunately found the Trinity to be a bit a bit flat, but maybe it was just in a dull stage - was the '15 from memory though.
I’ve only had one before- an ‘11 back in in 2016 and thought it was enjoyable

I've never been disappointed with Hardys HRB range... Hardys HRB Shiraz $16.70 Bargain.

I just saw cellarone is selling HARDYS CHAR NO. 3 SHIRAZ for 23, but in LIquorland it was 11 for more than 2 weeks.

Surely this is a failed export - $499 for a six pack of beer?
