Something a bit different in this offering from Cellar One.

2013 Grant Burge Holy Trinity GSM MAGNUM. $78 (including free postage).

‘The Holy Trinity is a traditional blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. The fruit for this wine is 100% Barossa grown, predominantly handpicked from old, dry-grown vines which range from 50 to 120 years old. The 2013 vintage provided exceptional conditions throughout the entire growing season. A cool dry winter continued to a dry spring and summer, leading to lower than average yields. On the positive, low yielding vineyards led to some sensational quality, particularly in the reds showing great colour and mighty structures. This release is a blend of 57% Grenache, 30% Shiraz and 13% Mourvèdre.

The 2013 The Holy Trinity is a richly flavoured and elegantly structured GSM that continues the long and lauded heritage for this traditional blend in the Barossa Valley. The nose is awash with ripe plums, Christmas pudding and liqueur cherries with sweet spices and a hint of some more savoury, earthy notes that add to the complexity. The palate is rich and juicy with vibrant flavours of fresh plums and berries, chai tea and fruitcake, with fine tannins that run the length of the palate. The dense, mouth-filling mid palate and long, textural finish combine to create a wine that is rich and elegant, sweet and savoury, and will sit beautifully on any table now, or cellar gracefully for the future.

Perfect for gifting in this beautiful presentation box!’

Not sure if its been noted previously, but if you sign up for the BWS newsletter you get a $10 code. I was able to use that with egift, 10% off wine, and 10% off 6 pack to get some 2013 Tyrells Vat 47 for $28.50 a bottle. Most of the Vat 47 would no doubt be sold by now though

Smith & Hooper Merlot $22 at BB, it's a 4.3/5 rating. That's what's listed, Nick's gave it 94pts.

It seems like a good drop, anyone tried it? Just trying to see if anything worth buying. I assume spend $125 for $25 stacks with 30% CB!
I have seen the last few vintages of those Smith and Hooper wines on Grays online. Every month or so a different wine seems to be added. Current wine is the 2018 vintage of that wine for $17.99. I can’t tell if it’s the same vintage as the BB one is. Buy Smith & Hooper Merlot 2018 | Grays Australia
