So my order from Treasury was supposed to be the Seppelt vertical but received 2 of each Bin 23 2018, Matua Lands and Legends Pinot 2017, and Black Grape Society Grandmaster Pinot 2018 o_O
Anyone had experience with these? Not sure if I should be returning them as second rate pinot makes the stomach turn🤢

I was hoping for a sitewide sale or at least free shipping to spend the amalgamated points....

Competitions don't really appeal.

Interested to see what happens from here and if they continue a generous referrals program.

They hyped it up so much! I was disappointed as well.

Ha, I got excited when I saw that I had almost 4,000 reward points in my account.....which amounts to a whopping $7 off! These guys seem to change websites/strategy every couple of years without actually doing anything that noteworthy. This is just a simple rebranding.

Didn't they try to crowd fund an equity raise a few years back? I don't think people are that stupid anymore.

I missed out on Gold... But at least got some sort of bonus from the merge

I have investigated why you have lost your loyalty status.

When we consolidated the My Wine Guy accounts into The Wine Collective, your annual spend $1525 did not meet the $2500 threshold for gold status. It seems to have been an error that saw you have gold status in the first place.

Additionally, you have an existing account with The Wine Collective (which was bronze status), when your My Wine Guy account was merged into this account, the bronze status seems to have prevailed. We have since rectified this now and your status is now silver.

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. As a consolation, I have credited your account with 50000 rewards points ($100).

For those that can’t wait for a better price, Langtons have the new Wynns cab black at a decent price - $28.90. I’ll personally wait

I decided to grab the 2015 from Amazon. $22.67 after 3% discounted gift card and 7.5% shopback. Had a bottle the other night, still needs a decent decant but plenty going on with the 2015.

Edit: Price jumped up again now

2016 Craiglee Reserve Shiraz - MB97, RKP96 - $133.33 in 6pk delivered direct - thanks/credit to @afro

Winemaker Pat Carmody has resisted calls to bottle a reserve wine for decades.
This most humble of vignerons has held steady to the belief that the shiraz he first planted at Craiglee in 1976 – on a site that had produced great wine a century before – should be bottled under one label, and that setting aside any of those grapes for a higher-priced wine would detract from the main blend.
In 2016 – the 40th anniversary of those plantings – he finally changed his mind, and selected three barriques (about 70 dozen bottles) for bottling under a new black reserve label (another radical change at this reassuringly slow-paced estate).
"It's just a bit of an indulgence," says Carmody, with characteristic understatement.
Having tasted it, alongside the just-released and gorgeously, typically spicy, tight and age-worthy 2016 Craiglee Shiraz ($60), I can tell you the reserve bottling is much more than just an indulgence. It's a great Australian wine and something every serious shiraz lover should try. A little darker, still full of essential Craiglee black fruit and black pepper, but with the concentration, intensity, structure and energy wound up a notch or two.

After terrible bushfires ripped through the Adelaide Hills over Christmas, 21 winemakers from across the region – and some from other regions who buy Adelaide Hills grapes – contributed parcels of wine to be blended together to make this delicious blend of shiraz and pinot meunier. It’s a lovely, medium-bodied, highly gluggable wine, the black fruit and gamey spice of the shiraz complemented by the silky, juicy, undergrowthy character of the meunier. Just the kind of red you want on hand as the weather warms and thoughts turn to eating outdoors.

The Wine collective / My Wine Guy merger is complete. Unfortunately for me (and many others), reward points are worth less. No longer have enough points to cash in for a $100 voucher. Tried to use them yesterday but MWG site was down...

sorry that you seem to have missed my earlier post :(

Interested to see what happens from here and if they continue a generous referrals program.

TWC's was already less generous than MWG's

They hyped it up so much! I was disappointed as well.

sorry but nothing new

Anyone know anything about this one:

RRP looks fanciful but at the same time wax dipped cork and 36 months on oak are usually signs someone intended it to be a premium wine.

Not great reviews from early on. 92 JH and CM Has anyone tried recently?
I picked up some at $15 per bottle from liquorland at the clearance sales in June. Have had a few bottles and i just get spikey acidity with not much fruit or oak to balance it out. Don't know if my bottles were mistreated at some stage in their life or if its some mid life funk (the wine, not mine), but i wouldn't pay $15 again for it
