Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

From the Frequently Asked Questions

"Yes! We've already transferred your existing reward points and loyalty tier (as of 05.10.2020) over to your account at The Wine Collective. "

Will wait and see what response I get I suppose.
Hadn't seen that, thanks for sharing. They clearly need to educate their customer service team as they just told me on chat they wouldn't be transferring over.

Received the following from Jeremy on live chat:

When our system amalgamated the accounts, there were a few verification processes to ensure that customers met the annual spending requirements to meet gold status. My Wine Guy rewards points tricked the system into thinking more money had been spent, which is why you achieved gold status to begin with. As your annual spend is $799.29, you do not qualify for gold status, I'm sorry to say.

I was hoping for a sitewide sale or at least free shipping to spend the amalgamated points....

Competitions don't really appeal.

Interested to see what happens from here and if they continue a generous referrals program.

yeah was expecting some great deals to be had to celebrate the merger.
Cashback is still there thankfully and hopefully it remains

Anyone have any thoughts on the Benchmark Collection of 6 at $350
Good Value ??

I recall the Eos, Bethany GR, Trial Hill, Monopole and Dandelion have all been offered as secret deals with significant discounts, and may still be available. So the deal is nowhere near as good as the RRP implies. Regardless, $60 a bottle is not horrendous for those wines, just not good.

I think id pay the $60 for the Dandelion because I do like it quite a lot - but not sure of the others. I think I saw the Bethany at around that price recently so tending to agree. Possible FOMO rising up!!

I'm assuming it's the 2017 (I can see that one got 98 Halliday points). If you hang tight you'll probably see it get discounted at DM or Wine Collective as secret deals; it never seems to sell out at nominal RRP.

It is the 2017 I checked with them. Dan recently had some heavily reduced down to $50 from memory and I managed a bottle of the 2014 and 2015. Delicious. However the price per bottle increased in 2016 from $100 to $200 and then to $250 for the 2017 so it will be interesting to see what they sell for at DM's

Went to DM Batemans Bay to see if I can get some 2016 Wynn's Black Label for $25.30. I show the manager the deal. They have 2015 and 2018 but no 2016. Weird thing - no offer to just sell me six at the deal price to come as close as poss to matching their own website deal. She suggests checking BWS down the road and they'd match that. Ummm....

Strange attitude by DM. $25 for recent BL vintage is standard price. Judging by her reply she just couldn’t be bothered. Good luck with BWS... They don’t even PM their own stores let alone other retailers.

interesting, I ordered some 2016 online, picked up and when I got home I realised they were 2015. Not sure if that’s good or bad...
