Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

This work for anyone?
" Unfortunately, this seller won't post to your location. Please update your delivery address and try again. " ACT and SA addresses.

Worked for a Queensland address.

I have a QLD address, Im happy to have it sent here 😁

Seems dependent on the items, or whats in stock at your states delivery hub. This product is fine for me, but trying to add Duval Entity 2017 gave " this seller won't post to your location "

Picked up the last bottle of Aberlour A'bunadh... well its almost wine

Insane buying on the Standish
i can’t believe they would sell the 2018 below their purchase price, given it’s only been on the shelf for a week or two. Bonkers!!!!

Found some nice gems at Vintage Cellars.

Someone just beat me to Mount Marry, he was literally holding the last two bottles as I entered the store but I managed to clean out their Standish stock which was somehow overlooked by others :)

Apart from the two big guns there were some more discounted items, the ones I found most interesting:

McWilliams Canberra Syrah 2014 $5
Rymill The Dark Horse Cab Sav 2018 $5
Yalumba FSW8B Botrytis Viognier 2017 $5
O’Leary Walker Malbec 2014 $10
Vinteloper Adelo Red Blend 2013 $10
Handpicked Regional Selections Pinot Noir 2018 $10
Lustau Pedro Ximenez San Emilio $20
Seppelt Drumborg Pinot Noir 2016 $20
Grant Burge Nebu Cabernet Shiraz 2016 $30

Some interesting clearance items in the spirits section:

Glenfiddich Reserva Rum Cask Finish 21yr $176
The Glenlivet Archive 21yr $216

My work trip became far more expensive than anticipated. Lucky they know me at MEL airport since my luggage was grossly overweight!

Which Vintage Cellars was this? I'm tempted to jump in a cab just in case mine hasn't been raided yet!

Was this the first time you had been to that Vintage Cellars? I'm just wondering if they are rolling out new "Cellar Sale" items and its worth a revisit?

It’s probably the first time I visit any VC in Melbourne.
Never used to buy from them but after scoring some bargains in Brisbane thought to check out the local store where I had few meetings that day. Definitely didn’t expect to see all those Standish wines on the shelf!

Mount Waverley

Oh my. Great scoring!
I just went there last Friday, only 2/3 low value items on sale and definitely not Standish or Mount Mary. I remember it was there for $110

From MWG:

An absolute rarity from a Barossa LEGEND, with a flagship release from the oldest vines on earth! 'Phenomenal' & 'Staggering' is how it's been described. Normally $90 a bottle, it's yours for $40, in timber cases. This is unparalleled! Use code HF34GC at www.mywineguy.com.au/centenarian

Anyone know which wine is it?

Hewitson Old Garden would be my first guess based on the old vines

Tyrrell's Vat 47 Chardonnay 2015 $53.59 , This is good choice too.
Langtons had the 2016 for $40pb in 6 packs in a secret deal last week. Not sure if still available.

2015 & 2016 weren't great years in the Hunter so reckon they need to trim the price a fair bit to shift them.

Grant Burge Miamba Shiraz 2017 at CellarOne 6 for $79 delivered after referral. $13.20 a bottle. Not too bad

Think I worked it out. I would say it is the 2018 GIBSON "THE DIRTMAN" SHIRAZ. Ive always found the Gibson very good wines, but I was hoping this one might have been the Ironscraper 2018... waiting for it to drop somewhere.

2018 Dirtman seems to be getting some very good feedback though.
Thanks Chonka! Can confirm this is the Gibson. My delivery just arrived :)

I rate the 2018 highly (it’s been my go-to “nicer” Shiraz for events), so under $20 a bottle is an absolute steal.

Now the challenge is to save some for future years, as I’m confident it will age nicely.

Saw 2013 Sensi Barolo for $30 at Vintage Cellars in Melbourne, down from $95 apparently. Forgot to take a screenshot
