Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Cellardoor gave me a $25 voucher for my birthday - does everybody get one on their birthday month?

Worked on a single bottle of Wynns John Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 - brings it down to $80 . Seems decent enough.

Just got mine too.

Very impressed with the service from Different Drop, the wine arrived in Perth in 5 days (that's good), and the receipt inside had not only a handwritten thank-you to me by name but also had a funsize choccy stapled to it. I enjoyed the surprise personal touch.

Gary Walsh has just rated the 2016 Marius shirazes on Winefront and given the Symphony 97pts, Simpatico 95+pts - Summer Hill Wine Shop and C’ellar Vie still seem to have stock of the 2015s

Glad to hear and looks like they've upped the ante over the past couple of years with you doing better than me - I only received a handwritten note, no choccy, with my first order :( :)

Thanks for letting us know Steady. Yes, they called me about this as well.

Mystery VIC152 Victorian Shiraz 2015 @ $14.99 a bottle from Winestar.

I'm confident that this is Seppelt Chalambar. Good price, with free delivery for the dozen. Even better value at around $10 a bottle if you have the current AMEX cashback deal. A wine that will easily cellar for 10 years and more likely go for 20 years.

Yep, this is definitely the Chalambar, vey nice wine at this price, shame I've already use the Winestar offer.

Winestar also have the Allegiance Unity Cabernet and Shiraz as mystery wines in six packs, which makes them ~$23 with the Amex offer ($10 postage if ordering less than a dozen)

I received nearly the same, except instead of the 2015 Mataro, I got a 2014 Graciano. I still have a dozen or so of the 2015 Mataro, so thats fine. Wasn't to fussed on the whites, the Food Truck Chardonnay found a use in a Vegeterian Spaghetti

No. But I'd be quite concerned. Halliday says drink to 2019. Halliday is known for being on the far estimates of drinkability. If Halliday says 2019 it's likely already at its limit.

I have a sneaking suspicion it is JaJa Barossa Shiraz. Halliday gave it 89, so possibly why score isnt on review. VM also had it recently for 13.50.
