Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I'm in. HH gave it 96 and called it "a lovely, lovely wine", 93 WF.
Apparently has 4% Cabernet in it.

Also 97 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and 96 from James Suckling - Halliday is the outlier it seems. Couldn't resist at under $50 per bottle with the voucher and CR.

Any thought about the
Wolf Blass White Label Piccadilly Valley Chardonnay 2016 ? I'm wondering if I should get a case...

Looks like Cellarmasters are being dishonest. Looking at buying a bottle of Dom Perignon and in the website it clearly states:
"Call 1800 500 260 to purchase a single bottle for $239.99 (plus delivery and handling)".
They are only offering a 3 pack online. They have stock listed as available.
What are my rights here?
I rang and was told that a manager is not allowing them to split the stock as separate bottles, despite it saying that on the website.
What's this called, false advertising? Surely there is protection for consumers about this.
Check out Wine Decoded they're selling it for $190 + $11 P&H Dom Pérignon Gift Box - Wine Decoded

Picked up a couple of bottles as well. Pretty good deal.

My latest email from Cracka:

Get in maaa belly!

Here it is, the most entertaining red wine to pass through the wine-stained halls of Cracka Wines HQ since wheels were square!

This Fat cough Mendoza Malbec comes from the high altitude vineyards of Argentina, and, as the name suggests, it's a gloriously rich, juicy expression of Mendozan Malbec magic, full of sweet berry fruits with a savoury backbone.

Forget the name though as this is surprisingly serious vino. Fat cough is a partnership between Rhone Valley winemaker Thierry Boudinaud and English marketer Guy Anderson. The story goes that when Guy came to visit he tried a wine that had been kept on lees for longer - a decadent, beast of a wine that they decided was a real fat cough.

That set the benchmark for a whole range of wines that are all deliberately fat and full-flavoured. There's a rich and toasty Californian Chardonnay, a smart French Pinot and this, a chunky Malbec.

We tried this in a lineup of other, much more seriously named wines and it absolutely killed it. Especially when we discovered the price. Normally $20, this is a helluva lot of Argie Malbec that you can have for $13.80/bottle!

DEALS ENDING MIDNIGHT OR UNTIL SOLD OUT

DM Penfolds bundle $650

1 x Penfolds Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
2 x Penfolds Bin 150 Marananga Shiraz 2010
2 x Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 2010
2 x Penfolds St Henri Shiraz 2008

Penfolds Premium Cellar Bundle

I worked out that the total $ of these bottles individually from DM would be $1190 - higher than their quoted RRP of $1089.38? Makes it a 45% saving (not incl. CR and Wish GC)...I'm so tempted!

it comes to about 112.60/bt after 5% wish and 7% cash rewards
In my limited time, the best I have seen was when langton's had some amex deal, people were getting it for 75 a pop after credit

Yes, if you look at Dan RRP.. But mostly the stock at individual pricing or retail is 25% - 35% more than most on this thread would pay..

my thinking process is $1098 less 30% is $770... So I think a top end fair price is around the $750 - $770 mark. Then I think at $650 this is pretty good value..Then the $650 less CR and Wish etc make this a good deal..

Even if you value the 6 bottles at $55 = $330, would you pay +/- $280 - $300 for the 707 ?

Don't get too focussed on a 45% RRP reduction as in reality it is more like 15% - 20%

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

if it had a longer expiry on them I would of stocked up

Ditto. There are invariably some very good deals to be had however consistency of stock over short periods (Wynns Black Label 2015, Moet, St Henri etc) combined with the short expiry make stocking up less enticing.

I purchased 3 vouchers, have 2 left after buying a case of Moet.
