Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Thank you so much Qaz for the Cellarmasters code.
I got a case of Freixenet Vintage Cava.
$12.49 -12% -$50 = $7.32/bottle. Beauty!
It is a nice sparkling made from Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada grapes. A good alternative (means more affordable) to Champagne when you have a family that can drink a half a case/day during the Christmas period. Much better than Aussie sparkling in my opinion.

From an email from Cracka Wines received this morning:

Want a hot tip for the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday?

Skip the horses and place a few dollars on this 2016 Water Dancer Geographe Cabernet Merlot.

I've always thought that betting on the Cup is a mugs game, but this red is one of the surest bets I've made this year. It's a prime Cabernet Merlot, made by a West Australian producer (Willow Bridge) that Halliday said is making 'exceptional value for money' wines, that I can offer to you for 54% off the winery price.

If you haven't heard of Geographe, it's the wine region immediately north east of Margaret River. In Perth, they call this area the 'fruit bowl of WA', and Willow Bridge has shown that it is also a great place to make great wines. In fact, they took out the Trophy for Best Exhibitor at the Geographe Wine Show just a few weeks ago.

The Water Dancer label is only a new addition to the Willow Bridge range, but I think it's an absolute winner. A medium bodied, savoury red that you'd swear blind was from Margaret River thanks to its blackberry and cedar fruit, with genuine tannins and a long finish.

If this were a Margaret River red you'd be paying $25 a bottle. But today, it's all yours for just $9.99/bottle. Not only is that 54% off the $22 winery price, but makes this an unbeatable bargain.

Grab your case now at the Cracka website here or call in on 1300 272 252 to buy over the phone.

Have the option of St Henri 2013 for $75 per bottle, less CR and WISH vs Wynns BL Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 for ~$21.60 per bottle, less CR and WISH. What would be your preferred option?

I can get it to $53 after the Darwin tax... so while I don't know unfunkable's exact calculation... I think you can trust his calculation +/-$1.

So based on comments above it looks like a decent price for the St Henri 2013. But has anyone on here tried it and is it any good? The reviews online are mixed, and given Halliday's review of 90 points for this vintage it kind of puts me off.

I haven't tried it, but vivino gave it 4.4/5 from a lot of reviews. 97 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown – Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate. Cellartracker 93/100
Huon Hook ranked it 4th from 2013 barossa shiraz's...cant be too bad at nearly 1/2 price.
Maybe Halliday was in a bad mood that day or something....

Purchased one. Anyone know how long before the code arrives?

took me around 5 mins
