Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Hope it's a decent drop! I jumped on the bandwagon ....FOMO. I swore I would not do it again..but I did

I went in for two cases because it's a kickable offence not to grab this bargain. FOMO is real and justified with this one. Enjoy!

OK chaps, now perhaps it's time for some tasting impressions on the Leconfield from those who availed themselves (that's a request, not a command:) btw)....

Cellarmasters have just sent me a text that my carton of FOMO is ready for pickup! I'm looking forward to having a comprehensive tasting tonight...

Picked up mine couple of days ago. Came in six packs, handy for storage. Will take Halliday's advise and wait few years before opening, unless need some urgent cooking wine :p

@ about $8 a bottle, I could afford to open one. Was very decent. I have bought a lot of quaffers on the FOMO bandwagon, and this would have to be the best out of the lot.
In fact so good going to grab another one....

I try to give mine a little rest after their travels but heartened to hear unfunkable's verdict. (I was amused to receive two six-boxes inside a CM-branded dozen-box...)

On another note, Vintage Cellars seem to have Church Block at 3 for $60, which is certainly nothing special, except for triple points (180 points, equivalent to $9 I think) and a $25 cellar share. That might make it $26 for 3 bottles of Church Block (sorta-kinda, accepting that you have to spend your savings at VC where you'll have to be patient/judicious in waiting for another decent deal). Current vintage is a JH 91, but I've tried a glass out and about, and it's better than some JH 94's (and not as good as others). Not too shabby for a sub-$10 quaffer. On paper I'd throw more money at the Leconfield, but I imagine in casual situations with guests that just wanna have fun, the Church Block may well be a more approachable proposition.

Just wondering if anyone has boomed on Dan's 6 pack of 2013 St Henri at $67-90 pb less CR etc.

Has anyone tasted it? I have a box that I purchased last year at $80 pb  but haven't tried any yet.

Thanks Boomy!

Surely twisting the stelvin off one out of twelve wouldn't be too rash :)

My 2x6 packs were collected today. One bottle has been given away, like boomy the rest are in a holding pattern so I can't report back.
See above :)

Couldn't agree more and grabbed a third case after sampling last night. Keeping half and sharing the good fortune. The fruit is lovely, a little "fresh" at this point. Nicely balance and elegant.

Not sure where you got the triple points from. Thanks for pointing this one out. With the cellar share it is still straight up $35 for 3 or $11.83 which is ok. Saved me traveling out of the suburb.

Email yesterday offered triple points. VC had another great deal last week - 3 x Teusner The Independent Shiraz Mataro for $60, with a bonus cellar share. Worked out at $10.67 for a bottler that retails for $25-30. And it's a great drop. They had the same offer a few months ago. Hopefully they'll have it again soon. Bought 9 and have 6 left!
