Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

After reading this thread I ordered the mystery dozen from Cellarmasters.
I have a confirmation email, but when do I find out what wine it is. On delivery?

Yes. If it's the mystery Cabernet we've been discussing here, then it is the Leconfield, as a number of people have already received their orders.

Thanks, happy with that.
I had a round of $28 of a wine that was off and also a $25 voucher, so happy with the price. Thanks for the heads up.

Just wondering if anyone has boomed on Dan's 6 pack of 2013 St Henri at $67-90 pb less CR etc.

Has anyone tasted it? I have a box that I purchased last year at $80 pb  but haven't tried any yet.

I had a few glasses at the Essendon Chairman's lunch on Anzac day earlier this year where they were serving it up as one of their wines. They had a special on there where they were selling them at $60 a bottle per 6 pack as well, so I picked up 2 cases myself.
It's still very young, and from what I remember (I did have a fair number of glasses during the day ... hey free St Henri ... what can I say), it's probably not as good as the 2010, but probably on par with the 2009.
At $67, it's a reasonable price for a brand that has steadily been over priced over the last decade.

For a predominantly shiraz/shiraz blend drinker is the Leconfield cab sauv worth a go? Seems to be well regarded

Some more info from my tasting, on days 2 and 3 it considerably was not as good as day 1. Was alot more 'flat' - tannins had gone by day 2.
Just means you need to quaff it all in one go upon opening :D

AustPost has emailed me to say my order from Dorrien Estate is ready to pick up. I didn't order anything from Dorrien Estate.

Either it's a scam... or one of the two mystery wines I've bought in the past week I got badly wrong. :(

Cellarmasters is based at Dorrien estate... did you order the Leconfield CS from CM?

I ordered another dozen of the Leconfield this morning. At that price it was hard not to!

That is the kind of deal that Vinomofo used to come up with, but they have been fairly lackluster of late.

I ordered a case this morning too, and with CR (7.5%).:)

Hey folks,
Have any of our sleuths cracked this Secret Dan Murphy wine yet? They've tightened up on review details which have made it tough for those lacking brain cells (i.e. me) to work out what it could be.

Cheers

I'm not certain, but it could be Hares Chase Ironscraper. Matches on price, JH score and alcohol content, and it's one that gets discounted to about this price from time to time. It's one of only 7 wines I could find on Winecompanion that are 93-point 2015 Barossa shirazes from $26-$50.

If so it's another good buy, I think it's a cracker!

I received a CellarOne email yesterday about a Flash Sale starting today, but their website is yet to be updated. Any ideas about timing for this based on previous sales?
