Nice find. If that is Pontet Canet, then that's amazing value for money. I've tried this wine at a tasting and it was stunning. Give it another 15 years though.

Yeah, the wine is a great one - had a 2001 last year. That said, one does have to wonder why it's being let go for such a cheap price. Poor provenance perhaps?

Langtons has had Meshach fever lately.... eg Meshach '02 bid up to $80 (+16.5% premium) when they sell for $85 outright!

I've had it confirmed from the inside that it is 100% the Pontet Canet. He suspects excess stock that needs moving. At $250 minus 12% through the usual methods, I ordered two bottles.

AMEX Spend $80 get $20 back 3 times per card. Boccaccio is on the list, and last time you were able to pay off an order with multiple transactions triggering the credits each time.

So basically 25% off Boccaccio spend up to $240 per AMEX you register.

Offer is NOT active yet though, so can't be saved to the card.

One other thing I noticed was,

"Excludes phone orders and online purchases."

Not that they will necessarily be able to tell what channel was used.

They could certainly tell depending on how they process the transaction.

But as Boccaccio was one of the merchants that participated in the similar offer in 2016, I'm sure some one would remember whether an identical clause was part of the deal at that time. I'm thinking it was though. So basically ignore it.

Oops sorry should have read the fine print! Multiple cards will be the order of the day as usual then. I have a feeling there was a similar clause about the phone and internet last time round, but will check on that.

Ordered 6 Moët and 6 Veuve from Dans as the bubbly stocks had really run down in Perth. Free delivery , gift cards and rebates helped.
i looked up the price of Cristal seeing it scored a mention in the Australian today and the sticker shock and 2 bottle limit put me off.

Cristal has to be one of the most over-rated champagnes in my opinion. I cannot fathom why they use clear bottles too, given how susceptiple champagne is to light. Having said that, go all out and grab this https://www.danmurphys.com.au/product/DM_825063/louis-roederer-cristal-1990-6l ;)
