just did the same - with all the discounts I'm in shock at the price. Will help out as we move into party season

And still no delivery charge, just the $1.40/case handling fee.

What! I just got slugged with $2.40! :)

In for a penny, in for a pound. Just ordered 4 doz Maverick.
Placed as 2 orders, picking up at 2 different BWS outlets both on route home from work. Can't go past $5.93/bottle.

Looking back on my tasting notes of two bottles of the maverick 2013 GSM last year, it's a stunner !
I also snared a 6 pack mixed whites with two plumms. I think my plumms will be very full after delivery savouring such fine fare.

BUT

Under six bucks for 4 dozen takes the prize as the best purchase by anyone. Well done Buzzard. You could start your own store now, maybe VinoBuzzard. Sleeping on them will be just fine thankyou very much.

Some help please with this one from Danny M's

  • Varietal: Chardonnay
  • Size: 750mL
This French sparkling is ideal for everyday drinking or parties. The mousse is fine yet persistent and the creamy flavours are well balanced with zesty acidity on the finish. Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, it is great value

How does this eight bucker score so well....and ...has anyone tried it ??

There was one of these on the cellarmasters list, but I passed. But doing some diligence, I came up with this stuff....interesting, and definitely a buy enroute to grand final day festivities.

They were $19.95 (or $19.99 yesterday), the GSM was in 12 packs and the Cab blend in 6 packs

edit: man that's cheap, I just don't have room for more of the same
I don't really have room for them either, but at those prices I'll find somewhere!

CashRewards receipt just came through; final price, $4.37 per bottle (voucher, AMEX, CR).

I sure hope you're right, because I've elected to buy now and evaluate later. At least I'm not put off by assertions that it's peppery.

Anyone who doesn't want two cases, the Burns & Fuller shiraz is on there at a reasonable price too and the price after the coupon on a case of each is pretty good. You're still talking $7.33/bt average and that's before CashRewards even kicks in.

I caved about 30 seconds after my post about not having enough space  I used my Amex credit yesterday and don't have any wish cards, but even with just the code and CR it was still too cheap to pass up. Was the cash back $17.45? If so mine were $5.22 :)

I am right. I believe the 2014 , at least for me, was too peppery. Now, in my tasting of the 2013 gsm in the second instance late last year, I gave it a 8.4. I will be interested in your opinion after tasting.

That is seriously insane. For me, the Mav Twins Cabernet Blend 2013 is the pick of the bunch - having tried the 2013 GSM, 2014 GSM, and the mentioned 2013 Cab Blend. I haven't had a bad Maverick wine. I'd take this cab blend over heaps of other pretenders. I'm in for another 2 cases.

I was actually thinking of you after your VM posting and I knew you were going in. It's ridiculous.

Which ponders the questions, are CM just getting rid of stock at whatever price before the end of month to make way for Christmas stock?
Secondly, would this be under cost?

Good call, you'd kick yourself in the morning if you hadn't purchased. :)

And yes, $17.45 cash back.

I've just opened the last bottle of my previous case of the '13 GSM to celebrate. ;)

How do you rate the 13 gsm since you're sipping it right now ?

Resistance is futile. 2 cases of 13 GSM heading my way for $4.67 after Amex and CR.

Ludicrous.
