Clarendon Hills Bakers Gully Syrah 2006 $80->$30
Wine Advocate 93,

Big, supple and remarkably graceful for its size, with hints of cream, cedar and clove around a core of blackberry and pomegranate flavors, all coming together on a seamless finish. Has impressive length. Drink now through 2020.
94 points Wine Spectator Magazine

"A medium-bodied wine, with fine, fresh, almost slippery/juicy red fruits the main game in the mouth, but with darker notes in the background; fine tannins and a super-long finish." 96 points, James Halliday (August 2008)

You need a unique code to enter, try a random 4-5 digit number, no more than 30000 (I did receive 2 codes under 65000).
Clarendon Hills official web site are selling 2012 at $55
I haven't tried this one before, is it good? Is it better value then Glen Eldon Twisted Trunk Shiraz?

Unwraps – Wine deals, reveal under wrap wines You can find out the actual wine behind the mystery, under wrap wine from Dan, Vinomofo, The Wine Collective...
Great info.
But I think the RRP is a bit inflated though (not sure) but I checked the winery it stated the 2012 Bakers Gully Syrah is$55 under Cru category. Your offer down to 30 - Still good discount.

For those who can't get in - try 1981 - but I'm not ordering so hopefully you can use this.

Cheers!

Thanks Paddywide I got in on the postcode as well. I quite like these GWD secret SMS deals 😀. Feel free to keep sharing. 😂

Wolf Blass bonus bottle with selected packs both through Wolf Blass website and cellardoor.co

e.g. Grey label 6pk earns a bonus bottle

Bonus bottle is not specified but could be anything in a similar range or above I'd hope

Better pricing on cellardoor.co for most of the qualifying packs/bottles

50/50, To me I rarely buy old wine because of the unknown cellar condition. If you like this particular wine, you can try.
Only 90 points for the 2009 on winefront from Mike Bennie and a comment from Gary Walsh sounding like he was a similar score. I have bought the 2010 and 2012 from JD but will skip this 2009 based on winefront review.

A word of warning on the GWD Clarendon deal - someone posted on winefront (and he is a very knowledgable industry source) that these wines have been around the world and back.......

Having opted into this one... This post scares me a little 😱
Any one else concerned enough to do anything about it?
