Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

The first and only time I’ve ordered wine through Greys few months ago they charged me wrong amount. Tried calling them, gave up after 1hr on the line. Tried writing a message on their website, gave up after 14 days with no reply. Then I’ve applied for chargeback with AMEX. Waited the mandatory 21 days before getting my money back because they also didn’t bother replying to AMEX. At least I got to keep the wines as compensation for wasting my time with this horrendous company.
I've had a few bad experiences as well. The customer service is non existent unless by chance you end up with someone who knows what they're actually doing. One time I was even locked into a winning bid in an auction that ended up mysteriously being withdrawn just before auction end. Perhaps the item never existed or was wrongly listed, who knows. It took some effort, several emails and phone calls over a period of weeks before I was able to free the coupon voucher I'd already purchased that was locked to that now deleted auction. There's the occasional bargain there though ...........

So after getting no replies to my emails about returning, first one was 13 days ago, I found a number to ring Grays today. After about 10 minutes I got a person in the Phillipines (Telstra why are yours still closed then). And he said - "sure we'll give you a refund, keep the wine as we don't want it back..."
I've been waiting two weeks for a reply to my case logged, mind sharing the number?

I found a couple of store specific Dan Murphy clearance items today. Might be interesting if you’re out in North West Sydney (sorry if they’ve been mentioned before). Serafino BDX $11 (Top Ryde), Fox Creek JSM $11 (Eastwood), Henschke Johanns Garden $27 (Eastwood). Plenty of stock left.

Got a few of the Henschke Johanns Garden on clearance myself. Really liked that one.

If I had the opportunity, which I don't, I'd buy up that Henschke GSM (technically gms blend)

Is it in Brisbane too?
Not sure of Brisbane, both stores in Toowoomba had it on clearance. Clearance price won't show online, but at least you can check stock levels. Odds are they will be on clearance in store. Were $25.73 at our store. Felt that way reasonable for the wines it is.

Just came back from Costco with some 2017 Darenberg Dead Arm Shiraz. $49.98 per bottle and also comes in a nice gift box. Quite a bit cheaper than pretty much everyone else on the market at the moment. DM selling for just under $70 per bottle in any six. Thought it was a pretty good deal.

Yes. That's Costco normal price. I think this is the only one I know that's still great price.
Another I used to get is the Georg Jensen Cuvee for $27/28 but recently it has gone up to$35/37.

I heard others here used to get the dead arm at DM underwraps for much less.

Just a heads up that the UMAMU Bushfire deal is still live and I have just bought two more boxes
$100 per box includes shipping with all the money (save outgoings) to the appeal
My last box was 09 SSB and a nice drop however each order is a lottery
