Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

I figure we have the Epiqure thread, and the VM thread, but this might be a good place to list other wine deals so that they aren't so easily missed.

DM's have some secret deals right now: https://www.danmurphys.com.au/list/...epage&medium=slot2&campaign=carousel-tracking

As per other threads, the Champers is Taittinger and the Shiraz is Wolf Blass Brown Label.
Dan does not pricematch Costco , mostly. Aldi spirits I found to be excellent prices, better than Costco. Because Cointreau appears suffer from retail price ratcheting, and because Drambie changed its formulation, it tastes artificial, I hope more Italian and Spanish substitute's will make it to our shores. I was told Alfred Gratien cuvee Champers has no local importer anymore (sob).

I was at Liquorland Sandringham VIC and noticed they had Leeuwin Art Series Chardonnay from $125 to $75. Not as good as some recent deals, I'm not a white drinker so not for me but some might be interested. Forgot to take a pic though.

BWS cashback increased to 8%. Stacks with $20 off $150, and 10% off if you buy 6 as a rewards member. (however cant pay with wish gc). Unfortunately my local stock levels have been decimated....

Perfect timing! Came across some stock of Xanadu and Henschke Apple Tree Bench at St Leonards yesterday - 4 of each for total $211 (unfortunately didn't realise I could use the 10% reward member deal until after I ordered, so could've been cheaper 🤦‍♂️)

does anyone know if Dan's restocks on the Grant Burge Mersach underwraps?

St Leonards BWS still has a few at $99 clearance price by the look of it

Booo, I bought some odds and sods (the Cullen, Moss Wood and Xanadu cheapies) last night when cashback was lower. But probs a good thing as if I'd waited they could well have been gone as I got the last few bottles I could find in canberra.

Interestingly, I saw on Canberra store was doing WB grey for $22. Out of interest I looked at what every ACT store had online and it was totally different each place, with only a few bottles of anything.

Cheers Velo. I found some Hardys Eileen shiraz and got 3 bottles for ~$48pb with the $20 discount and 8% cashback.

Just find a couple of cheap bottles/$2 mini goon bags to make up the bottle count to get the extra 10% off. Works a treat.

Picked up 3 x 2015 Paringa estate $37.5 and 3 x 2017 cullen cab-merlot ($22)
for $140, pretty good value. and if CR plays nice I'll get back another 8%

I think the following should be highlighted as part of the current cashback offering:

'During the 24 hour promotional period, cash back for this store is capped at 1 transaction with a maximum cash back of $17.50 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made.

Cashback is ineligible on champagne and non-alcoholic products.

Cashback is ineligible on purchases made through the BWS app. '

RE: BWS Specials

If anyone is looking for Champagne, I have left a couple of bottles of the 2005 Bollinger La Grande Année for $164 p/b and 1 bottle of the Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame @ $201 p/b at the Janelli store (I was down in the Shire today fortuitously). Seems nobody down this way likes top shelf Champagne...

They also had quite a few bottles of 2009 Louis Roederer Brut Vintage at $91 p/b, one of the Bollinger Rose at about the same price as Dans and about 6 bottles of Pol Roger 2009 Vintage (all be it at not an amazing $120 p/b).

All those prices are before 6 pack discounts and $20 off $150 and/or WISH. Cashback obviously wont apply being Champagne.

I resisted spending a load of cash today, but am happy with the stash I got.
