no statement credits for Boccaccio cellar came through from last weeks purchase on Tuesday :-(
Sorry but surely you didn't expect to receive them given [post=1592889]my earlier comment[/post]?
Ok I got some exciting news! For the RETAIL statement credit:
Boccaccio cellars was happy to manually imput my credit card for my online purchase through their terminals.
They will need a copy of your credit card's though (scanned copy) + a copy of a photo ID. If using card not in your name, just a letter from that person saying they Boccaccio to charge $80 to that card etc.
PM for his contact details - he was very good to deal with and very accommodating.
I got confirmation emails for all my transactions!
Good to hear and yes, the Boccaccio boys can be quite accommodating - I've previously swapped unwanted gifts/bottles for wines I've more fancied
However, I sincerely hope that for security reasons, if you emailed (as opposed to faxed) your cards and identification, that you encrypted your message and/or redacted some digits/information, and provided the key or missing data over the phone.
If not, I personally would consider cancelling and changing card numbers to avoid the risk of fraud.
(My total was 1282 over 16 cards so nearly got the perfect 25%)
Seems they were definitely very accommodating to manually process 16 cards
Anyone used their AMEX cards at Boccaccio already?
Looking for ideas what to buy, so far can't see any special bargains, even at 25% off.
I'm guessing that you haven't been in-store to check?
Here's a sample:
Duval-Leroy 2-for-$110
Canard-Duchene 2-for-$100
Yabby Lake Chardonnay 2015 2-for-$60
Dog Point Chardonnay 2012 2-for-$50
Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2016 2-for-$40
Giant Steps Yarra Valley Pinot Noir or Chardonnay 2015 2-for-$40
Wickhams Road Yarra Valley Chardonnay 2-for-$30
Hoddles Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2016 $10
Though as alluded to [post=1592996]previously[/post], there can be good (if not better) non-wine specials, such as Beaufort cheese for $55.99/kg and Nino’s sausages $11/kg
If you get your spend right (i.e. in blocks of $80 to get the full 25% off I think the following are good buying:
Yalumba The Signature $34.42 in a 6 pack
Clonakilla SV 2015 $67.5
Clonakilla O'Riada 2015 $27
Hoddles Creek 1ER Chard 2015 $37.5
Cape Mentelle Shiraz 2014 $24
Tim Adams Aberfeldy Shiraz 2012 $36
Diana Madeline 2014 $84 in a 6 pack
Pierro 2015 Chardonnay $56
With free delivery for 12 bottles you need a fair few AMEX to make it worth it though.
+1 Nice selection
I'm not sure how much wine Boccaccio expects to sell with this unusual arrangement?
surely they dont expect the rest of Australia amex offers to fly in to make instore purchases... lol
ste667 is
Boccaccio don't have super sharp pricing. What they do have is wine, like Italian stuff, that other people might not stock at all. If you can get 20-25% off that, then you're getting a pretty decent price, as a lot of the stuff is never discounted.
They aren't always the cheapest but they're generally one of the cheapest, and true, they have a good range of imports from places like France/Italy/Spain at reasonably competitive prices, such as [post=1493631]Serge Mathieu Brut Tradition[/post] for $49.99.
+1
This very tempting at $198 after the discounts

Good way of landing a couple of the cheap St Peters without having to buy 6.
Plus you're getting the "14 Chalambar which we know is excellent.
Yes that was probably the best deal there
