Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

$50 off $120 spend @ Cellarmasters with CPANEW (thanks OzBargain):

Maverick Twins Barossa Valley Cabernet Blend 2010
6pk $119.94 + $1.20 Click & Collect - $50 voucher - 8% Cashrewards = $65.45 ($10.91/bt)

(no idea if it's any good)

Despite my hesitation, I grabbed the Gemtree Uncut with the $100 off CM voucher at $9.76 / bottle for the lack of better options, since a few posts continue to reinforce it. Glad I did...pretty nice drop for the price.

and now finally sold out :)

does anything jump out at you at winemarket, like a gws player?

I think your gws remark may be an AFL reference, but to answer the core of your question:
Wynns Black Label around $22 if I can find a working 20% code*

I'd have a crack at the Torbrek Sporran if it wasn't a 2013.

Haven't looked at the mixes yet. There's often good buying there.

And at the (very) lower end, the Gemtree Black Jade as a mid week quaffer @ $6.60 after discounts.

*I'm aware some of these have been available cheaper elsewhere at times but as there's no Dan's in Darwin and their delivery fees up here are crazy, my acceptable price point may be a little higher than some AFFers.

Went to Vic store that has leconfield, filsell and signature but all at full price.

Not surprising as the discounts are scattered amongst stores that don't sell that particular variety/price point. You need to try other stores if you are hoping to secure a bargain. I'd have success in about 10% of the stores I try.

Thanks for the info. Hadn't gone out of my way and 10% odds given time already lapsed gives me little motivation to do more. Lol.

Are these guys always this slow? I purchased 6 x botts on 11/08/2016 and they arrived last Fri 09/09/2016.

Yours are fully labelled??
Mine arrived "cleanskin" on the later 10th business day as was stated in T&C.
Maybe no more cleanskin and yours are better late. ;)
Sounds like they oversold the cleanskins and had to find an alternative!

Any Canberrararians have much experience with this mob? JIMURPHY

Any specific aspects you are concerned about?

They've been around for a long time, have 2 stores. The founder started at ANU University House and his first business grew out of his contacts in academia and diplomatic circles and a good location next to fresh food markets. He died some years ago now.

I don't buy there very often as the stores are a long way from where I live and the website was pretty hopeless for a long time. They do stock some interesting stuff though.
