Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals - BWS clearance

Was able to double up discounts (50% off each bottle, then 30% off six wines) on BWS clearance stock over the weekend. Picked up

2x Tyrrells Rufus Stone 2012&2013
Stefano Lubiana Estate Pinot Noir 2012
Paringa Estate Pinot Noir 2013
Barwang Hilltops Shiraz 2013
Descendant of Squid Ink Shiraz 2013

for $84 in total. Do wish I could've picked up the Euphonium as well though!

Bargains!

Anyone have any opinions on this wine ? Seppelt Mount Ida Shiraz 2013 ? 97 point Halliday, and his notes makes it sound very nice.

I haven't tasted the 2013. It appears to be a fair price. However previous Mount Ida's I've tasted have been good.

Although for the money I always thought that the Chalambar was better value. It consistently scores very highly from Halliday and cellars for decades..

Wozza ... you might want to delete the Outlook screenshot ... considering it's a public site and all. :)

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals - BWS clearance

For those that haven't yet had their fill of Wynn's Wines, Winestar has the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Black label at $24.99 a bottle, which is fairly competitive if not a little better than DM's price with cash back (although + Wish might bring it closer).

Thanks MadMick10. I saw that and immediately deleted it. Is it still showing? I am desperately trying to remove all traces...

And don't be forgetting a $30 statement credit on $200 spend from Amex https://offerenroll.americanexpress.com/enroll/EnrollmentSitePage?offer=830749winestar

As stated, note it is the 2012, not the current vintage.

$25 is about the price many people would have paid when it was released. I know I paid around $22, but that was last year.

Don't forget winestar offer free postage on dozen lots.

+1 for Seppelts and the Chalambar, unlike the various Penfolds wines this still offers exceptional value for money and can be got for a very reasonable price.

Re: Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals - BWS clearance

Some new deals (mixed packs) from Myer wines if anyone is interested. Code included:

30myer

Don't shoot me if I'm wrong but I suppose based on the clues that the following deal from Winemarket is most likely Brookland Valley Margaret River Cabernet Merlot 2012:

http://www.winemarket.com.au/Mystery-Margaret-River-Cabernet-Merlot-2012-6-Bottles

Try code SOUNDSFREE for free delivery and there have been some 20% off codes floating around so if any of those are still valid it might be had for around $20 a bottle; otherwise around $25. Not cheap but RRP is $50 (and seems to be selling for $40.85 at Dan's), it has heaps of medals, trophies, Halliday 94 points, so if Cab Merlot's your thing you might be interested.

Cheers all.

Don't use a code for free delivery - already included. Use a 20% off code like Cloud20
