Damaged Qantas Club invitation - usable?

I received a complimentary Qantas Club invitation in the mail yesterday. Additional delivery handling by my dog has resulted in a less than pristine invitation. He has managed to chew off the top left hand corner of it. It says on the back that damaged invitations may not be accepted. Has anyone got any experience regarding a damaged invitation being accepted?

How badly is it damaged? Is the silver hologram/sticker thing still in the bottom-left corner? If so, then perhaps you might be okay. I probably wouldn't count on it though.

What location is the lounge are you wanting to use it in?

I was actually planning on giving it to a friend for an international trip. It would be Melbourne International Business Lounge. The little hologram is still intact so you can tell it is a legitimate invitation. I just didn't want to give it to my friend if they couldn't use it.

Lady C - the photo makes it appear relatively minor damage, with the date (the most crucial part) unaffected.

BUT, if I was going to gift same to a friend, I would first contact QF and ask them to replace it. It would be hard enough (due to uncertainty) as the gifted person to approach the lounge normally, but with a dog-chewed voucher, I for one would feel very uncomfortable

If it has the hologram and the expiry date date is unchewed I think you will be fine. If you just tell the recipients, and they do get in, they will be even more pleased if it works out.

QF can't fail but see that it is obviously 'dog eared'. It looks like a book my dog took a liking to.

Just as an FYI, my friend was able to use the pass successfully. It was a nice start for her and her friends for their flight to JFK.
