Complimentary Lounge Invitations - Flying with Children

Happy New Year gents! I am taking the family (6 month old, 3 year old, wife and myself) to Sydney from Melbourne before our Disney cruise. Did I need to blow 3 x Qantas complimentary passes for one way? I was originally going to select just my wife and I but then I saw my 3 year old as a selected passenger which makes me think perhaps toddlers aren’t allowed in for free under a complimentary lounge pass. Thanks in advance
Check previous posts in this thread - the official answer is that you need 4 passes.

There are anecdotes that sometimes the lounge agents make exceptions/errors such as allowing a baby/young child entry without a pass but this can not be relied upon.

technically that person would be an ‘infant’ rather than child/children?

Qantas still refers to 0 to 3 year olds as 'children' in the QC access guide (for fully fledged members)

OP isn't given the choice to link a pass for the 6 month old

Can't explain that - would need a call to QFF. But by the book, they need 4 passes.

Yes, but two observations… the OP isn't given the choice to link a pass for the 6 month old, and technically that person would be an ‘infant’ rather than child/children?
Seems the 3YO came up auto selected but, by omission, perhaps not for the infant (although @DeanCorp does not specifically state that).
I was originally going to select just my wife and I but then I saw my 3 year old as a selected passenger which makes me think perhaps toddlers aren’t allowed in for free under a complimentary lounge pass.
@DeanCorp, is the infant in your travelling party booked as an under 2YO, not occupying a seat?

In theory they would need a pass but it’s a manual link through the phone. Anecdotally depending on the staff onsite they will allow you to get in sans the pass, but dependant on the staff
