I enoyed both episodes and am looking forwards to the next one.
It's not a serious documentary, and it has been presented in a light hearted way for the non technical masses. Also for those whom feel even the name was silly, by applying a known thing (a medium sized city) to something that would otherwise be just a big number, it helps paint a picture in the mind of the viewer, much like they also use football pitch and wembley stadium as measures despite not being official measures, their target audience will understand far better than 80 meters as very few people can actually visualize a number.

Watch it on iview and for those of you o/s u will need a VPN service that will show an Australian IP address to watch it.

Just watched Ep2 and thought it was good.

I was very interested to watch those who were scared of flying and I guess I will never truely understand the fear that they have. Thankfully I have no problems jumping on a plane even just for SCs!

I'm not afraid of flying per se, but I *do* have near-panic attacks when there is bad turbulence when close to landing or takeoff, especially if the plane is turning (I understand the physics, I have a friend who I helped learn it for pilot training). For some reason it does not really bother me during level flight. I will be heading to my GP to ask for some Xanax before my next trip, as the last flight I took was basically skirting some storms before coming into MEL and I was struggling to keep my "oh **** oh **** oh **** oh ****"s barely audible as we were moving through the cloud levels. This also affects me when travelling on roads with steep drop-offs and sharp bends, especially if I am not driving or *shudder* in a bus. It's more a fear of falling than a fear of flying I think.

Interestingly, I thought I had mostly recovered from this until this year. I was really bad about eight years ago, but it seemed to have abated. But I have taken a lot more flights than usual (for me - which is not much considering this is AFF) this year, and it seems to get worse the more I fly.

Oh your story reminds me of my friend. She is scared/hates the ascent & decent phase of flying. She is fine when the plane is at level flight. Therefore, she is scared/hates short flights such as ADL-MEL but much prefers long haul flights.

Sorry, I'm getting off topic.

Looking forward to tonight's episode!

I thought there were some quite interesting segments across the three episodes, and the Bangor Airport (BGR) segment was one such. Of course it would have been aimed at a broad cross-section of the viewing public so had some segments such as the lost luggage auction that didn't really fit all that well. But overall it kept my interest until the end.

I enjoyed it also.

The bag auction in the last episode was interesting.
Although would have like to know if / what efforts are made before they end up in the sale. Does someone open it and search for a name.
What happens to the money.

I was really surprised at how much of the EK A380 got stepped down; esp how the whole coughpit was dismantled. I would have never guessed that!

Of the three episodes, the last had the most of interest to me. IMHO the second had little I didn't already know.

To rate: Ep 3 > Ep 1 > Ep 2.
