How did you get that?
They offered it to me originally fee free as an additional card, then charged me an annual fee and upgraded my original card for which I complained against.

Spent more than 4 hours fixing it so it was probably better not to have the error in the first place and just pay the $120 fee.

how did i get citibusiness gold credit free for life time...

did i threat them to cancel my citibusiness credit card..or something else....

Once again, I pretty much have NFI what you are saying but ill try to answer your questions.

I got the citibank card free for life as described at the top of this page. There is currently no fee free deal for CB Citibusiness Gold for the general public.

I now have a relationship manager in Sydney fixing up the annual fee for me which will be manually updated as soon as I receive the card (will have to call).

Whats the big deal about this card? The annual points cap is around 60,000 points per year. cough.

There are not many Visa cards out there that earn 1.25 QFF per $1 spent.

And not everyone spends $50k+ on their CC every year.

Not everyone is like you and spends millions a year on their card and the cap is 80 000.

You forget that many people have not been capped.

From April 1, is 60000.

Also, the wording cahnges from April 1 suggesting capping will happen, rather than may happen.

just called Citibank to change over to the Citibusiness Gold card and it was a pretty painless event.

The lady advised they would do a check and I will be notified by mail within 4 business day. Will get a new pin issued and then need to creat a new Online account as well.

All my current rewards points will be maintained and transferred to the new card.

Fingers crossed as this seems to be the best deal for someone like myself who has a 2-3K a month spend.

I do wish i had a million $ annual spend like some of the FF members

SO called Citibank and spent an hour on the phone with them. She wanted to get this card, and also get rid of her other Citibank silver card (so, no real additional risk to Citibank)
1) Can't apply for this card because it is invite only. Told them that you could apply online

2) Was told then "just apply online". SO pointed out that this takes time, Citibank already has all her details. Please just reuse those

3) Was told that she had accepted a credit limit increase in November, so no additional applications could be made for 6 months. SO pointed out that she didn't want to get an additional card or increase her exposure - just wanted to replace one card with another

4) Was told she should close her silver card, and put in a new application for this card. SO replied that would leave her with no card.

5) This was passed between about 5 different people in the same call centre, who were going around looking things up and so on. I listened to part of the call, and it was very frustrating - I would have blown my lid - a lot of repeating things that would appear to be from a "script" that didn't really answer/address anything SO was saying...

Net result: no application. Was just easier to wait another couple of months and apply then.

just spoke to Citibank and they have confirmed postage of my new Citibusiness card yesterday.

Not sure why other people have had trouble changing over to it. I have been with Citibank for about 6 years, so maybe that's why??

Looking forward to getting a 25% boost to my points

is the card free for life time or paying $120 fees

i've always paid the fee for my gold card.

i'm assuming the citibusiness will be costing me $130 a year.

for the points earn + insurance i'm happy with it. only ever made 1 claim on the insurance so far, when i lost some prescription sun glasses a few years back just after getting them.

i received a pay out deposited into my account within 10 business days, so was quite happy with that levle of service.

just received my new card today. pretty impressive since i only made the request at 2130 on Tuesday the 24th.

The web site says the card is $130 but the letter with the card says $119, so it's the same as the old gold card.

Now i've just got to go thru the hassle of updating all my direct debits.

i just received my PIN number and set up online access to my Citibusiness Gold card.

I've had a look around there does not seem to be an option to transfer the points to QFF any more.

I was under the impression that you could still transfer points to QFF from the Citibuiness card. Are other CBB holders seeing the same thing??

Would love to check for you but unfortunately the rewards section of the website is not working for me. It says 'the card you currently have is not enrolled in a rewards program' :(

Qantas is no longer offered under travel rewardsfor my Citi Plat.

I guess they've thrown the (online CBB) baby out with the bath water ...

hhmmm

i suppose i will have to give CB a call and see what the story is.

If I can't transfer to QFF...not sure what to do then. I know Krisflyer does offer better deals in terms of the amount of points for a return flight...decisions decisions.

just spoke to the CB call centre.

I was told that since there is no online option to transfer the reward points to QFF I will need to call to do the transfer.

The good news is they will not charge the usual 2500 points for the "manual" process.

Seems like the Citibusiness card is allowing you to keep your options open. Fingers crossed.
