Didnt really want to start a new thread just to ask a simple question ... i recently decided to "opt-in" for the Qantas rewards - should your points earn still display under the "Search Rewards" section? i have rang to confirm that my "opt-in" was processed correctly but im concerned that my points my still be going to the normal rewards program

I'm sure I just called them to upgrade it for the higher points cap. I asked if there was any cost and they said "same cost as now", so free? "that's right" :)

Call them for a upgrade if you have a spare hour!

When did you do this? Was it a while ago?

Hi there,

Just wondering if you can get and itemised statement of points received - i know you can get this for westpac transaction.

sorry didn't want to start a new thread.

Also, my citibank cc is expiry soon and have not receive my new cards as yet. I have called customer service line and told they usually send it out two weeks before expiry. Isn't this cutting a bit fine and customers will be left without use of their credit cards if there are issues with post/delivery etc..
Has anyone experience this and is this the correct information I have been informed?

thanks

Have never seen an itemised statement.

As for the timing of replacement cards, the problem with sending them out too early was that lots of people had lost them by the time they became active.

Two years ago when they started to enforce the cap on my Citi Gold Visacard. I also had a Citi Plat M/C (now ungraded for the Select) which was half price to give me a 240k combined cap.

Phone call today to Citi yielded some interesting information.

Citi Emirates card will not have an increase in its points cap.

1 September 2011 is when the official changes take place with the Platinum cards decrease in annual fees and increase in points cap.

Also in September the long awaited Signature Card will be released. $395 per annum , uncapped. Now it gets confusing for me,trying to recall the points earn - 1.5 reward points per $1 spend. Overseas spend is at 4 points per $1 . Conversion to Krysflyer is at 1.5 miles per $1. Not sure if other airlines will be accessed.

Should all be clearer in 2 weeks time.

The Citi select card already says visa signature all over it, so maybe it's an improvement for this card?

Just received an information booklet from Citibank detalining their new credit card product changes. Their calling the new card the Citibank Rewards Credit Card - Signature. It seems like a new product alongside Select, since Priority Pass membership is at a different tier (2 visits free per year). Also, they used the line "the new Signature card will be available from October 2011", rather than the other products in the brochure which says "Your Silver/Platinum card will be replaced"

Apparently, this booklet only goes out to non-QF enrolled reward members according to the letter.

Edit: The brochure has a link to the new product website, but I can't add it to the post. It's the normal citibank domain with newworld attached to the end.

I have a Citibank Platinum Mastercard and haven't received this info - could it be only for Visa card holders?

The link from the post above:
Link removed.

The booklet/website only shows Platinum/Signature Visa cards, with Visa/MC Classic cards. Looks like MC is no longer being issued for premium cards? Do they even issue MC currently?

When I started reading that page it looked quite interesting from the viewpoint of QFF earn, it seemed to be offering 1.25 QFF per $1 on the Platinum Visa and 1.50QFF per $1 on the Signature Visa provided you paid the extra $49 to opt into the Qantas Rewards program.

However when I got to the FAQ I noticed this little "gem" buried there:

Q:I am currently enrolled in the Citibank Qantas Rewards program - will this be impacted?
A:No, there will be no changes to the earn rate on the Citibank Qantas Rewards program. You will continue to earn 1 point per $1 dollar spent and your enrolment will be transferred automatically.

So it seems the Citibusiness Gold is still the best Visa/MC QFF earning option at 1.25 QFF per dollar especially since the cap will go to 250,000 points from 1 September.

I have a CB Platinum fee-free card and received my update letter today.

1.25 points per $1 (domestic spend) is a bonus, a quicker way to SQ KF redemptions here I come ;)

I received my statement yesterday (Platinum Mastercard, free for life) and there was no mention of this. :(

I have a plat fee free and received a letter separate to the statement, yours will be on its way no doubt.

Same concern here. Just called Customer Service and they advised me there was a technical issue and that cards have been mailed on 22 August. The rep then offered me 2000 QFF points as compensation for the inconvenience - worthwhile making the call !!

I've not been advised of anything by Citibank either. I guess soemthing will turn up in due course.
