And I was just about to join based on hithertoo glowing praise received on AFF (including from Dr Ralph who is typically like Kobe in the fourth on things like this). I think I'll keep my powder dry for the minute.

While I’ve also had the runaround from this mob, I’ve had more wins than losses.

If you’re a WW shopper you could sign up and just take advantage of discount wish cards.

It’s about all I use them for now because this benefit is an instant discount - buy a $100 gift card for $95.

As for the actual cashback parts of the site, YMMV.

Thanks Captain H! I wasn't aware the 5 per cent discount occured immediately on purchases of wish cards - it was the only thing that I'd look to buy anyway.

Do you know if the same holds true for coles cards?

You can't buy discounted coles cards from cashrewards, but they are available at some places including AGL rewards and Entertainment book rewards.

But if you can get hold of them it's just like buying the WISH cards. IE the discount is instant.

Thanks Dr Ralph. In that case I'll include myself out. I'm too much of a flybuys junkie to shop anywhere else. I find myself checking their app for new offers way more than I should.

I hope your challenges with CR work out.

Where can I find this on the Entertainment Book?

Has anyone had similar issues with PricePal ?

I haven't used entertainment book for gift cards for a while. I have used them frequently in the past to purchase discounted coles gift cards. They may have been discontinued? They are definitely still available via AGL rewards and other sites such as smartrewards.

The Entertainment book doesnt appear to offer Coles gift cards at the moment.

I must be the odd one out. Cashrewards has worked well for me across a variety of purchases.
I frequently have problems and have asked them about them with no answer. For example, I can use certain sites like Book Depository with immediate tracking but somewhere like eBay never works. eBay cashback is usually so small that I don't bother chasing it up. One other site that I used to use a lot with no issues, now doesn't work at all and I need to claim every time. Very suspect in my opinion.

Ebay has been a problem for me as well. Also menulog, David Jones and hotels.com. Dan Murphy's, however, always tracks.

Ebay I normally award to one of 8 qff and vff accounts and moreso if one is offering extra points. It in particularly keeps the vff accounts ticking over re 18 months expiry.

So that may be why. Though I had it track a couple of times.

I must admit too that I will normally find what I want..get to the checkout screen and then i will go back to cashrewards link click on that. A new tab opens complete with my purchase already showing on the the page. I then click on that and pay.

I may be kidding myself but I tend to think that is why from this and other sites that my cashback or bonus points etc virtually always track.

I do this 100% of the time. But 50% failure rate.

Has anyone had similar issues with PricePal ?
Seems like it might be just as bad:

Pricepal

I got another proforma response to my situation earlier today:

'Thanks for getting back to us regarding your concern about this transaction.
We would just like to clarify that you originally contacted our team on #### regarding an untracked Hotels.com purchase. Because we had not received any information regarding your transaction from the store, we submitted an enquiry with Expedia Australia to try to rectify your cashback claim. Unfortunately the store advised us your sale was not attributed to Cashrewards and this is why your sale did not track though our system originally. There are many embedded cookies, coupons and links in online stores which allows a single transaction to track through many different channels.
The marketing channel that obtains commission for a sale is the final channel that a transaction passes through. Our cashback guidelines are set in place to prevent other channels being involved with sales, however we cannot guarantee that sales will be attributed to us due to the dynamic and ever changing nature of the internet. Please rest assured that Cashrewards has not been paid for this sale.

A helpful hint when purchasing travel through Cashrewards; Tracking issues can often arise if you have multiple windows open when making your transaction or by shopping around at the time of purchase. This transaction originally did not track and this is could be the reason why. Please note that if you have a loyalty card that accrues loyalty points, this may affect your eligibility for cashback.
We are sincerely sorry that we are unable to assist you beyond the investigations we have made already through Expedia Australia.
If you have any further questions regarding this sale we will do our best to clarify what has happened.
We really appreciate your continued support of Cashrewards and hope you have a great afternoon.'

I'd be VERY concerned by this: 'however we cannot guarantee that sales will be attributed to us' on this basis they claim that they never actually have to pay out any rewards.
