Has anyone had similar issues with PricePal ?
Seems like it might be just as bad:
Pricepal
I got another proforma response to my situation earlier today:
'Thanks for getting back to us regarding your concern about this transaction.
We would just like to clarify that you originally contacted our team on #### regarding an untracked Hotels.com purchase. Because we had not received any information regarding your transaction from the store, we submitted an enquiry with Expedia Australia to try to rectify your cashback claim. Unfortunately the store advised us your sale was not attributed to
Cashrewards and this is why your sale did not track though our system originally. There are many embedded cookies, coupons and links in online stores which allows a single transaction to track through many different channels.
The marketing channel that obtains commission for a sale is the final channel that a transaction passes through. Our cashback guidelines are set in place to prevent other channels being involved with sales, however we cannot guarantee that sales will be attributed to us due to the dynamic and ever changing nature of the internet. Please rest assured that
Cashrewards has not been paid for this sale.
A helpful hint when purchasing travel through
Cashrewards; Tracking issues can often arise if you have multiple windows open when making your transaction or by shopping around at the time of purchase. This transaction originally did not track and this is could be the reason why. Please note that if you have a loyalty card that accrues loyalty points, this may affect your eligibility for cashback.
We are sincerely sorry that we are unable to assist you beyond the investigations we have made already through Expedia Australia.
If you have any further questions regarding this sale we will do our best to clarify what has happened.
We really appreciate your continued support of
Cashrewards and hope you have a great afternoon.'
I'd be VERY concerned by this: 'however we cannot guarantee that sales will be attributed to us' on this basis they claim that they never actually have to pay out any rewards.
