Paris - Sydney is available on points with EY/VA, Sydney - Brisbane available well. Won't come up as one online and call centre says they have to do 2 separate bookings unless I pay the amount of points required for each individual leg.

Surely this is wrong?

I just had the same, was told you can only book the award they could see.

Was told the award fare class only allowed connecting to certain flights.

Oddly enough I was going SYD > CDG. I can see all the flights online, but can't book. Was then told the availability wasn't there for the SYD AUH leg but was showing online on both VA & EY websites.

The flights are all available on a revenue fare which I assume is the same for you. I read through the T&C's but couldn't find anything specifically relating to it.

Given the call centre couldn't even calculate the points required for 2 separate bookings I have little faith in the accuracy of what they told me!

There's been multiple occasions I've been told something similar, only to later confirm it is incorrect. Try messaging the VFF presence here with all the details, they have been incredibly helpful to me in the past... To be honest I'm not sure I would still be steering my revenue flights towards SQ/VA without them!
