But those that uploaded DL yet selected any international options are being rejected.

Again, understandable. Because those combinations of an international trip and non-passport ID aren’t valid.

Well done on fighting this Bart, hope you get a expeditious and positive outcome.

Website should have been clearer on the ID requirements, especially for applications with mixed DOM/INT requests. Your passport is your responsibility, and has nothing to do with them. Their responsibility is booking a flight for you based on whatever is cheapest for them, and if you don't have a valid passport, thats your problem - as you've pointed out!

Thanks for the support, im.daniel. They seem to be super stubborn though, and based anywhere but in Australia.

If they reply to my last email I'll see what happens. Do you think I should submit domestic destinations tomorrow (last day of the promo)?

Ironically, my DL expires in June too...........

Seems they they are doing everything they can to not honour free flights. Sent my application off and heard nothing for over 2 weeks, received an email giving me only 48 hours to send repeat info plus “travel document/passport. As I was interstate I sent a copy of my driving licence as I received a new passport last month and didn’t have a copy with me. Received an email this morning about 50 hours after the last one. I have sent the new pp details by email as the original link has now expired.

Dear WA flyer

Unfortunately, there was a problem with your application and it could not been processed.

There may be one or a few reasons why your application could not be verified.

  • Passport missing
Please refer to the terms and conditions. Should you have any further questions concerning your application, please contact us via our contact form on www.flywithstoneleigh.com.

Kind regards,

Rix Flights Team

I await their reply!!

The key point seems to be “Unfortunately your passport will be completely invalid for two of your given dates of travel”, which means you’ve only given them one *valid* option.

Dumb system, could have been avoided if they’d let you upload (say) a passport and a driver’s license.

It’s a ridiculous condition. They are saying you have to apply for a new passport before your current valid passport expires! Just to make the booking!

DL doesn’t help cause they won’t accept for international destination.

Keep me updated with how you're going!

We're like some others away for Easter, so flew down after work yesterday from BNE to SYD to spend time with my parents, so passports are at home.
Their Australian one is in the cloud, but the other passport that is available is (an EU one) isn't scanned, so can't send it from here.

I received my offer last night ~11pm for Hobart as I wished.
My partner did not receive any communications, so we will leave it as they have and contact on Monday with all info.
We will borrow your template for communication.

It is a multi cultural affair. Inspire who are a UK company and have done similar campaigns for many companies , all over the world including Russia, and are now doing this one for an Australian wine company. They use a ".my" (Malaysia) for emails so must have a call/processing centre in KL.. Going by the bad English in emails, that figures. This campaign doesnt seem to have been promoted accept on their website.
I submitted 2 "entries", same day, got 2 confirmations, same day, but only 1 offer so far, about 4 days ago. Flight is Perth - Denpasar, Jetstar but ticket code will not accept on Jetstars "manage booking"... I emailed Inspire and they told me to use one of their email addresses as a login to Jetstar, still doesnt work. So I called Jetstar who assure me that there is a legit booking held, even offered to sell me baggage upgrade and seat selection. Those that are having difficulties with Passports etc, well I imagine that they are going to stick hard fast to the "rules" because the fewer flights they give, the lower overall costs for them. I would say that it is definately legit (for those with doubts), otherwise it would not have been on Stoneleighs website and Jetstar would be telling me that they know nothing about it.

To answer my own question... I've decided to take them up on their offer. I have accepted the resubmission, purely domestic and unfortunately to three destinations I have not much interest in because I'm already going to all this year (CBR, DRW, CNS). I will be fighting for the original offer though. I realise I may have shot myself in the foot.

Are all three new trips before your June DL expiry?

They can't possibly be. First flight I can book is 45 days from now (according to T&C). That means 14 May. Minimum 2 day stay. So 16 May. Minimum 30 days between flights. So option two is 15 June to 17 June. And final choice is 17-19 July.

So yes, I never stood a chance of meeting the requirements. Though I had no way of knowing that from reading the T&C's.

You know, I'm not trying to argue with you, just trying to understand their interpretation and whether they're consistent with it. If not, it actually gives you a better argument regarding your initial application.

All good. Always good to have a devil's advocate .

Dear Mr Nicholas,

Regarding to your inquiry, we can accept travel ID other than a passport for the domestic destinations, however three of your choices is to an international destination where you will not be able to travel to without a valid passport. We unable to accept invalid or expired travel ID or passports. We inform all participants in detail about which travel ID is required and must be uploaded during the application process.

Please also note point 7 of the terms and conditions: “7. To be eligible for the Offer, Participants must take all the following steps:”Applicants must provide valid Passport (international travel) or Travel ID and also must provide 3 destination and dates to choose from. In effect we did not receive 3 destinations as we would have to discount the destination to New Zeland in order to make an offer. We cannot provide an offer for you as you did not provide us with the necessary documentation, and a valid Travel ID.

If you have any further queries please refer to the terms and conditions of the campaign,https://campaign.flywithstoneleigh.com/terms/

Which would be fine IF THEY TOLD US AT THE TIME!!!!

Which would be fine IF THEY TOLD US AT THE TIME!!!!

It’s not really fine though. It’s a ridiculous requirement. Why should you have to cancel a perfectly valid passport you hold today to get a new one just to make a booking? It’s ‘rule book’ following gone mad. Their is no stipulation anywhere that you have to give a passport number to make an international booking.

I'm sorry to read of the problems mentioned, but I am very happy with my MEL-AKL flights. Early morning flights but with Virgin so I get to use my WP status. Getaway tickets so can't use my free upgrade but considering points upgrade. Valued at $450 so that's the best $90 spent, plus I have 6 bottles of wine that I already drink!

Surprise surprise, i am now able to access my booking on the Jetstar "manage booking"... An even bigger surprise, I can add baggage, select a seat or even change flights, all at my cost of course..
