yup....row 13 is the row behind exit rows. At least got an aisle not at the back; given a newspaper, express arrival, and better earphones....so much better DJ plat recognition than flight over. Back home in Syd, exhausted but great w/e......

Apologies, if I got your hopes up .... Clearly, I cannot count.

Another person who is now home; after a bumpy flight across the Tasman.

Thanks to a few people.
Boss Reggie for organizing lunch.
anat0l for sharing some accommodation costs with me.
Straitman for giving me some extra NZ dollars; I think I spent a bit more than I wanted to.
Thanks to Fifa and dfcatch who I shared some F lounge time in Sydney and the flight across the Tasman, and the bus into the city.
Special thanks to Fifa so I didn't get lost looking for some NZ dollars and recharging the sim card.
Thanks to awilcockson for sharing the taxi ride on Friday morning.
Thanks to all the plus ones.
Maybe I should just thank everyone for turning up and making it a great weekend.

Again I hope you enjoyed all the as it happened photos during the lunch, sorry to Travel Guru who probably thought I was on AFF too much and ignoring him.

Now to sort through a few photos.

I'm home now too, big thanks to everyone for making this a great weekend and special big thanks to Bossreggie for organising.

Bring on copenhagen :)

I'm currently sitting at CBR with only the cleaners for company, waiting for +1 to arrive from OOL in 45mins.
Then it's a 2 hour drive home but it was certainly worth it!

Thanks to everyone for making the weekend such an enjoyable one and especially to Bossreggie for the huge task of organising it.

As usual I had a wonderful time catching up with 'old' acquaintances and meeting new AFFers.
These meet-ups are certainly addictive :D
Bring on the next one!

Well we (+1 and I) , are looking now at options for April next year.
So all things being equal we are definite possibles for the noma lunch

I didn't have a chance to introduce myself...
Maybe I'll meet you next year - I don't even know what you look like!

Home!

That flight was quite a bit longer than the one over - ground speed was only about 600km/hr due to the winds over the Tasman. Going over I missed the last 10 minutes of my movie (X-Men: First Class), but coming back I watched a movie (J. Edgar) and two TV episodes.

Thank you bossreggie for organising such a great event, and the fellow members for completing it :)

You will be one tired girl!

Just arrived back from another dinner at Euro. --- Superb :!:

Not going back until tomorrow lunch   :D
Boo:evil::evil:

Rub it in, why dont you!!!
what she said:!:

I was treated very well by NZ...

Lots of legroom in Row 2.
The FA said in a loud voice " Good afternoon Fifa, would you like headphones and a newspaper? And here is an express pass for you to use on arrival in Sydney."

How embarrassing (I got quite a few stares) - I must have been the only bod with status on the whole aircraft as no-one else appeared to be approached with the goodies:shock::D

Arrived back in MEL, after what started as a bumpy flight, but ended as a slow flight as they climbed out of the planned, but bumpy altitude, to the less bumpy but more headwind oriented altitudes.

Thanks to bossreggie for organising a great weekend. Thanks to all the attendees for coming.

Another just back from the "last" Euro meal. Well last for this trip for me. Many thanks to the Boss and all attendees for a wonderful weekend. And yes the Boss was still at Euro for one last drink when we left!

Princess Fiona, I am with you. How the he'll do I broach the subject of CPH and Nomu with Mrs LW .... "Time to visit her best friend in LHR??"

Packed & settling in for a quick snooze. What will the morrow bring??
breakfast at the Hilton? Lunch at Euro? - last chance for their risotto for a while.
need to have the wheels turning around 1pm, so can't linger...
So it's obvious, I have to come back!

Thanks to all and who came and enjoyed the festivities in AKL.

I think the lunch was a hit and I'm sure we could all agree that the staff at Euro were especially great.

Sorry I was not up to my best, however I enjoyed myself.

From a tongue in cheek comment in December, to having 40 attendees, I think was quite remarkable.

I wish everyone a safe journey home and once again thank you for being understanding about my being a little flat.

I have just returned from the Dr's.... Thank you KPC and Storyteller for your wise advice. Thank you Storyteller and Mr Osborne for INSISTING that I actually went, and persevering with me!

I have been advised by the Dr to either remain in AKL or return to MEL until my leg is better.

I'm all alone at my hotel so if anyone wants to catch up let me know.

Finally...... To those who missed out......

2013, it will be Noma in Copenhagen. Another lunch to remember!!

Boss

Now that I can do:!:

I think that should be his new location.... :p
I went back to Jervois last night, as it was my birthday dinner, and it was amazing (again). The best part though, was when I ordered the chocolate fondant for dessert, and it came out with a candle and happy birthday written in chocolate sauce... :D

Well it's been a great weekend, there are things I would change though.
Maybe less shopping for one. Mind you I am as guilty as Mrs GPH. Bought two pairs shoes for myself, & carrying loads of well priced champagne back to Brisbane ( have to borrow a suitcase from my mum again) .
One last foray into the shopping precinct today should find us at max weight allowance and heading to AKL J lounge with a rendezvous with travel guru (and others) for a final review of the weekend . Not looking forward to having to front to the office tomorrow :-(
Thanks everyone who made the weekend great, without the great AFF'ers we have met,we would not have had this experience.
Get well soon "Boss" let's catch up again when you are well.
Bring on the Bossreggie lunch 2013.
This could become a habit. :)

I boarded the DJ aircraft with box of chocolates in hand and my boarding pass balanced on top. The FA said "are those for us?" laughing and I replied "Yes, in fact they are". She thought I was joking and I had to convince her to take them :)

Simo and I were the only status PAX on the aircraft, 3C and 3D with 3B and 3E blocked. Finally had the Luke Mangan pie, it was very tasty.

Was a pretty uneventful flight until a DJ staff member got bumped to 2F and decided that he would move my bag from it's spot above my head to the other side of the cabin to make room for his own over-sized bag  and then got all offended when I pointed out that I wasn't actually happy with him doing that  He also had his second over-sized bag on the floor blocking the path out of his row of seats (luckily would only have impeded himself in the event of an emergency), funny how there's "one rule for them and another for us".
