Hi,

I’ve just booked my first business class Qantas flights using points. I’m flying Brisbane-Melbourne-Devonport. However Melbourne-Devonport is all economy because it’s a Dash 8. The first flight leaves Brisbane at 6:10 AM. Then the second from Melbourne at 3:30 PM.

Will I be able to access the business lounges in Brisbane and Melbourne? Or just Brisbane? I’ll be disappointed if it’s just Brisbane given the super early flight!

Thanks :)

No you will not: 'Lounge access eligibility is based on the class of travel or the Frequent Flyer Membership tier for your next onward flight.'

sadly you won't get access, best bet is to see if anyone else is travelling through MEL that could gues you in. When are you travelling?

Thanks everyone, though not the answer I wanted to hear!

I'm in a wheelchair so check-in takes a lot longer so I'll be lucky to get 10 minutes in the Bris lounge.

I'm flying home this Sunday (1 March), quick trip up from Tas for the Queen concert!

PM me your details providing you have a FF number & also Surname by the look of it. I'll send you a lounge pass to use in MEL 🥂 should get a good few hours in there. I think you then have to link that invitation to your booking reference. Something I never use myself only ever flick them to the kids and they know how to use them lol.

have you checked the lounge meet ups thread? someone may be able to guest you in.

Wow thanks craven morehead for the offer! And thanks everyone for the help. I have to travel with a carer, how draconian are the lounge gatekeepers? I have a "companion card" that usually gets my carer into places with me for free, any opinions on if that should be accepted?

All done mate. Please enjoy.

Just follow the link to activate as per @JohnM 's post and make sure it is done more than 24 hours prior.

Does your carer have a QF FF account? If so, another kind soul may donate an invitation to be sure.

Unfortunately, I transferred my last couple of lounge invitations to my son just last week, otherwise I would have been happy to pony up one.
